Greer Golf

Played Thursday @ 11. Crowded but seen worse. 2:20 minutes on front. Two younger guys in front of me joined up with 3 young kids walking. Had to quit on 15 due to heat. Was going to be 5 hour round. Course was in good shape and I may play again when cooler.

Course is in excellent condition considering the heat

Pace of play was horrendous. There was a “unique” situation. So don’t entirely blame the course. But the course was in great shape and the cost is extremely reasonable. I’ll definitely be back.

Fun challenging course that is very rewarding with good tee box shots

So much potential yet missed the mark. Pace of play, on a Monday was dismal with no ranger and just excruciatingly slow. Grass definitely needs cutting. If your ball rolled even a couple of feet off the often-narrow fairway it was likely in grass so high you would never find it. Frustrating for sure. Lots of odd situations where you have to be careful not to hit in to anyone or have them hit into you due to layout. First time playing there and likely the last too. Just a shame because there is a lot of potential. Was hot so after 10 we decided to cut our losses and end the torment. Too many other courses around.

Shot a solid 79 at Greer Country Club today. Course was in great shape, greens rolled true, and pace of play was perfect.

Well maintained, decently paced, carts in good condition, putting green was in good condition, and a refreshment lady (cart girl) that came by approximately every 3 holes..

The roving range was off of artificial grass, but you cannot blame them with the amount of use it gets.

I do recommend this course to people and I will be playing it again.

This was my first time playing at Greer and the front nine featured some challenging slopes and fun layout. The back nine had some challenging pin locations and doglegs but this course is one of my favorites I’ve played.

The course was tighter than I imagined and challenging because of the slopes. Definitely have to keep it in the fairway and even then the ball is eihwe above or below your feet. The course was in great shape. This course definitely will humble you but I enjoyed it. I would play it again.
