Nice course
Great layout. Need to bring your "A" game, or be prepared to spend a lot of time in the sand. Unfortunately it is winter time, course was playable but I am looking foward to coming back later in the spring. Course is only 10 minutes off of I-95. Strongly recommend playing here if driving by.
Nice course
I used Golfnow and got to play for $18.00 excellent price for the course.
Beautiful Fall Day
The course was in great shape. The weather was perfect and the pace was good. CCSC was the right choice for Mitch & I today.
Very nice course in great shape
Course is in great shape. Greens are a little slow, but expected for summer conditions. Play was fast. Staff was friendly and helpful as well!
Can't wait to try this course again now that I've played it and have a feel for each hole and how it's layout.
Definitively worth a try.
Price is a little high, but the course is tons ofun. Hardest part is that all greens have different speeds, but that could have been the recent rain, though. Carts have ball and club washers on board, which was really nice. Got some cigars at the pro shop, which closes early, and they were nice. Played at 1pm and had nobody pushing me. Had a really good time, but only 1 trashcan on all 18. Only thing that would put this course in a top tier is some beer girls. BYOB.
A Tale of 2 Nines
Back 9 has a completely different layout and feel than front 9. I felt like I was playing a completely different course.
Needs TLC
An Ellis Maples course that has gone by the wayside!! This has the potential of being a great course if the company would infuse some money into it!!!!!! Understand that a Chinese company is in the process of buying it to put Condo's in. Plenty of room but put much needed capital into the course!!!! It seems like another of the great golf architects courses gone down hill after years of "just cutting the grass" as a maintenance protocol, It has seen much better days!!! Definitely not worth more than the $30 to play at this stage !!!!!
Course has potential, but poorly managed.
Course has a good, semi-challenging layout that offers many different approaches to play most holes. There are an abundance of fairway bunkers, but fairways are large enough to avoid trouble. The day I played followed a couple days of rain that washed out several areas of the course and caused the back nine holes and driving range to be closed at the time of play. The golf course did not give a courtesy email or call to inform anyone with tee times of this. My group and two other groups traveled over an hour to this course to have to play the front twice while being jammed in with those with later tee times once we started the second nine. This caused massive delays in pace of play and a very frustrating round for everyone. Pro shop staff was less than professional for a private country club and the shop itself was lacking in stocked items, including golf balls. We would not have wasted our time traveling here if the course had informed anyone of the conditions. Will not play here again.
Fun Day!
Pro shop staff, Mike, was very friendly, Set us up w/carts, range balls, and directions. Each player had his own cart due to the virus situation. Great way to do it!
Was a fun course and I will return again for sure!
Poor winter conditions
I seen on golf now it was rated as a 5 star I did not see that at all I’m not here to bash I’m just being honest the course needs a lot of work to get to a 3 star but the staff is working towards a better condition course
Awesome hot deals
Great course great location the greens rolled really well. The practice areas are phenomenal. This is a great value. Great for all levels to play. Shot a 67
Can't Believe It, I Expected Much Less
What a fantastic course, much more than I anticipated and even more. First, the staff is the best, so friendly, proficient and knowledgeable. They made me feel as I was "special".
The course is just fantastic, and a must play. The conditions are near perfect, even though management says much needs to be accomplished. As for play, it is perfect. The front nine is a little more forgiving than the back. All green complexes are elevated somewhat, you will not roll a ball onto the green. Putting is a challenge on very large greens so you best be in the right neighborhood. I do believe they break less than they appear, but caution is advised if you have a downhill putt. It will usually roll out more than expected.
I cannot say enough positives about this course. Even though private they accept guest play, but you'll feel like a member.
Tale of 2 9's
CCSC is one of my favorite layouts. The greens are usually very slippery and true. The front nine have some solid holes. Nothing that really blows you away, but is nice. Holes 11-18 are beautiful and very tough. The course is always in great shape too.
Fun course to play
My twosome played on Tuesday at noon and played in a little over 3 hours. Course was in great shape for early January. Many challenging holes but fair. Lots and lots of bunkers. Friendly staff. We will definitely play this course again.
