About
The Golf Club at Star Fort sits near the site of a Revolutionary battle known as the Assault at Star Fort. The golf course offers a family-friendly layout surrounded by the region's rich history. The player-friendly design is gentle enough for junior players and beginners, but it's also great for more advanced players who are looking for a quick round. It will surprise you with a few challenges too. At 6,952 yards, the golf course isn't terribly long but there are still some good driving holes. There are some interesting risk-reward par 5s and some fun par 3s that will make you think. Star Fort's final hole is a par 4 that requires accuracy over distance since you'll have to weave through two ponds before facing an uphill shot to a well bunkered green.

One of the best courses in the area in my opinion course has changed a lot since the last few years and they seem to constantly be trying to improve it a few greens do need some extra work tho
Besides that greens are fast, carts have gps, staff is always nice besides a starter here, I’d say biggest problem pace of play on the weekends
Glad I found The Fort
Even though we are beginning to get into fall the course was in really good shape. I really liked the clubhouse. The fairways are tree lined but wide so it’s easy to keep the ball in play. The greens were receptive but very fast. I love greens that have a lot of undulation which these do. We had a really good time. I highly recommend playing The Fort.
Great course
Nice course the layout has changed since the last I played the awesome renovations the staff was super friendly I ended up spending extra money in the pro shop the bar area awesome. With that being said this course is a hidden gem in South Carolina I highly recommend it.
Fun course
Played the Fort Today. New Carts with GPS, nice wide fairways with good grass,
greens ran true, staff very nice. This course has new owners and they have done a
lot of work taking out trees redoing several holes and it was very much fun to play.
Looking forward to playing again this month with Sandlappers.
The Fort
Course was a little dry due to lack of rain lately. The greens have a lot of poa annua grass making then a challenge to putt. With new ownership these problems should get taken care of soon.
poor pace
we had a fivesome in front of us who were slower than molasses on the green on every hole. They must have been playing for big money even marking putts less than a foot. Course itself greens were in bad shape, fairways cut to short with many bald patches.
Good Course
Good course but grass is cut to short. Ground extremely hard. Play was very slow
Course is under new management and definitely looking alot better than last year. I will definitely be back.
Great to play in January
Had a wonderful time with my buddy playing some golf in January.
Customer service!
To theguy who brings out the carts - you are a rock star! First thing in the morning and you bring the carts to the customer’s car. You were super nice to my young teens and you made their day.
Terribly Slow
They allow groups of five and six to play. This causes long hold ups on each tee.
If you like long rounds of five or six hours on a Friday this is the course for you.

Fun Course Terrible Course Management
The staff is amazing and friendly, this is not to bash any individuals. I’m a regular golfer here. But it’s come to the point where I can no longer support this club. Before you make a tee time, any day of the week, ensure they don’t have a group of 20-40 going off. They will hog the first tee for two hours then take up the entire course. And the individuals that play in these groups refuse to let you play through, go-ahead on the first tee, and if you happen to be in front and are slowing them down you will get hit on top of. Tee time management is terrible. You can guarantee to be waiting to hit every shot besides a putt on even semi-busy days.
Fairway and green conditions are good on most holes. Bunkers have some small pebbles but not many. The rough and particularly anywhere that’s not a fairway is abysmal. I’m willing to go as far to say that if it’s not a fairway or green zero maintenance goes into it. You can miss the green, roll off the back 20 feet , and lose your ball in an uncut rough, or a dumping pile of leaves blown off the greens.

Not worth what I paid
Ground was super hard, greens were covered with leaves, greens were impossible to read and fast.
