Great Value
We got an excellent rate and the course was virtually empty. We let a few singles play through who were clearly members getting in a quick round. Except for soggy conditions due to high moisture and a few leaky sprinklers, the course was in excellent conditions.
Bring you're A game!
This is a very challenging course. It's in great shape everytime I play here. You must keep your ball in or near the fairway. The Bermuda rough will eat your ball and make it tough to spin it. The Bermuda greens were really slick, but held the ball and putted true. It still was fun to play this course, but believe me bring plenty of balls!
challenging
Must stay n fairway, rough is very rough. Fairways are thick and lush but rough to ride, go slow. Greens were great. Can't beat price.
Hidden gem a long way from nowhere
Great course! Fairways and greens in great shape! Lot of slope on this course so if you are the kind of golfer that has to hit driver on every hole then you need to bring plenty of balls with you! This is a shot management course. Beginner golfers beware. Lol. Great staff. Need to pay them more so they can move on down here! Had fun and will definaltley play agian. When you get off I-85 it's about 5 miles and looks like you are going nowhere. Great hidden gem!
This is a challenging course
I love this course because it is challenging u have to use every club in your bag unlike typical courses can't wait to go back
This course has good fairways
I like the way it' laid out . If you hit a bad tee shot you want be in someone else fairway. Fairways and greens are in good shape but sand traps need work. Like the wildlife you never know when you might see deer and geese.
course has great value
Over the years the course has dramatically improved and provides great value for your money. Be prepared for the hills.
Best course around
Played this course this week for the first time in 15 years. Then it was a pasture. Now this course has best greens and most plush fairways around. The layout is awesome and the views are stunning. This has become my favorite course. Nothing in upstate compares!
Well maintained and challenging mountain course.
We were very pleasantly surprised by this fun and challenging mountain course. The Bermuda greens were in great condition , as were the the fairways.
Extreme elevation changes provide beautiful vistas around the course. Any homes visible from the course are unobtrusive .
The staff are very pleasant and friendly.
An added bonus are the reasonable green fees.
shot shaping type of golf course
Short but interesting challenging lay out , # 9
Is a monster, elevated tee box, low landing area and up we go again and I mean up !!!! Check it out if you leave in the surrounding area I'll play it every week if it wasn't 31/2 hrs from home.
My only regret is that I didn't get to play the back 9
It was close for maintenance, the staff: they simply make you feel that you are home, If I ever find myself in the area I will definitely play it.....
beautiful and challenging
Chickasaw Point is a very nice course with many interesting hole layouts that golfers in the Upstate don't get to see often. Par 3s were precision holes. Fairways were nice and greens rolled true. Cart paths most of the time stopped a tee boxes the it was driving in fairway.
Very Good Value
Greens are excellent for this time of year and weather conditions. Fairways still somewhat dormant, should green up nicely in coming days. Staff and other players extremely helpful/polite and genuinely interested in your opinion.
Fun and challenging
This course is a challenge you have to play smart but it is fun and rewarding.
Very nice!
We loved this course! It's well maintained, friendly staff, and different. It's different for us because most holes are either up hill, down hill, or both. We are used to mostly flat courses. I would live on this course if I could afford it! We can't wait to come play in the summer and see how beautiful it will be. We also liked the atmosphere the other folders created here. They were courteous and not rude. We have been to other courses like Boscobel in Anderson,SC that we were keeping the pace of play...couldn't go any faster because other players were in front of us...and had someone mouth to us twice that we needed to play faster. This course obviously had higher class and more laid back golfers.
Course was very wet (rained day before), but the course was in good shape.
This course has always been challenging for the group of seniors guys that I play with. Our guys enjoyed the outing, as it tested our skills.
great views and good greens too
Played a lot if courses and I will definitely remember this one. Great views and greens, fairways in real good shape too.
EXCELLENT!!!!!
Will play again...Welcomed me with a list of tips off each book and a nice green overlook book. Very receptive greens and plush fairways. Tee boxes were excellent as well. Only ting that needs work are the bunkers. Tremendous views. FYI.......BRING BALLS!!!!!! LOL.
The course was in Great Shape. The greens were especially well kept and very tricky. Very fast downhill putts.
The course was in excellent shape. The fairways were excellent and the greens very tricky. It is an excellent example of mountain golf. Follow the course directions provided and you will do well. Get too aggressive and the course will punish you. It is advisable to try to stay below the hole on approach shots. I enjoyed the course very much and the staff could not have been any friendlier.
Challenging course
The course is challenging but very well maintained. #17 is a par 3 across the water. You are either a hero or a zero on this hole. Give it a try.
