Member for a Day

We did the "Member for a Day" offering to play this course. First off, this course is full of immaculate views...primarily holes 1, 10, and 17 and other courses in the area do not compare. The staff were fantastic and we had no pace of play issues. The course is a challenging layout, with many greens that run off in several directions making strong iron and wedge play critical if you want to score. Having said that, for a round that was nearly $200/person, I was disappointed with the course conditions and maintenance. The tee boxes were often fully dead and you were teeing up into dirt, making it challenging to maintain balance as well. The fairways were firm and in ok condition. The greens were moderately slow, but did roll fairly true. Overall, I like the course for the "feel" and scenery it offers, but at $200/person, I would expect better playing conditions. Maybe its been a rough spring, so I will give them benefit of the doubt and return later this year to see if its improved!

Great course

Great course however for the money they need to do some work on the greens. Make dead spots and just looked rough. The course has an amazing layout and was in great shape except for the greens. Also couldn’t get a drink at the turn house was disappointing

False advertising

Every Saturday or Sunday multiple hot deals seen however you can’t book them because no longer available. But they show available, until you try and book it. False advertising. Other than the appropriately priced hot deals, way overpriced.

Come back next year

Had a friend visit and took him here cause my previous experiences were great. Very disappointed in price I paid for the course conditions. Tee boxes and fairways were good. The greens rolled fine but it was evident the heat hasn't been kind. Burnt spots and fungus growing on a few holes. Bunkers seemed to be suffering from the heavy rain. Take your $175 and spend it elsewhere.

Fantastic place and course

Just all round great round, I played around lunchtime as a solo on a Saturday and was a little worried that it would be brutally slow, but think they’d got a few groups off early in front and kept me at my time so I could take my time and not be chasing anyone. Course was fantastic, greens great and couldn’t fault it at all. Would recommend to anyone looking for a premium round of mountain golf.

Visually Stunning

Course has some amazing Mountain View’s from holes 1, 10, and 17 to name a few holes. The dramatic elevation changes have to be seen to be believed and the 17th has to be one of the most difficult and most gorgeous holes in Georgia.

Jim Fazio designed a masterpiece in the Georgia Mountains that is a must play for any golfer.

Top 10 in GA

Other than some bunkers under repair (or should be!), the course was immaculate. Greens were amazing. From tge Members tees it plays longer than the card because so many greens are elevated. Admittedly so are some of the t boxes. So be ready for lotsa hills and elevations. Tough course if your short irons are rusty. Missing greens will cost you as there are few bail out spots (good misses are hard to find on this course).

Still, it’s beautiful and interesting and worth the money.
