Great Course
Truly great course and a pleasure to play. Well maintained and great layout.
pace of play horrible
The pace of play was horrible here we were behind a group of 5.We called the pro shop to complain marshall never came out very frustrating to play such a nice course under these conditions.
Great Course!
Quail Ridge was in great shape when we played it yesterday. Greens were firm, fast, and rolled true. Staff was excellent and the GolfNow rate we received was unbeatable! The only drawback was play is a little slow but the weather was great, so we couldn't complain. We will be back soon.
Good Value
Overall a nice track, greens were firm and fast but not ridiculous like other places I have been. Conditions were a little wet in some places but I will be back. There are some nice holes and different challenges. I played from the whites because of the high winds and with lots of lakes and small creeks there were plenty of place that would make you think about shot and club selection. Not every hole requires the driver but personally I enjoy a long iron off the tee from time to time. Pace of play was good but I think I beat the rush because the place picked up at 4:00 p.m.
Nice rolling hills.
Nice course and good facilities but instead of being able to play 18 holes we were only able to play 9 because of the extreme slow play and crowded conditions.
A Quality Test
This course is always a challenge, but especially so when course is in dormant bermuda. Still always thrilling and fun!!!
great, the staff is the best
outstanding, the staff and the course are great. if i had a choice of courses in the area. this would be my first choice.
This course can be challenging and fun
Considering how much rain has been in the area lately, this course drained well and was in really good shape.
Busy.
Super busy weekend to try and play solo. Ended up joining another group to finish the back 9. Course has a friendly set up. Seems to have a lot of traffic (good and bad).
Quail Ridge Golf Course
Played on cool wet day, the course was in pretty good shape from the recent rain.
A fair course that can be set up to play very difficult
Quail Ridge gets a lot of play, but is somehow always in great shape. I am amazed that the greens always roll true, even late in the afternoon on a very busy day. As an average golfer, I can play up and enjoy my day, but if I want to really test myself I can play all the way back. Almost every green has a few really difficult pin positions and subtle breaks that can fray the nerves of the best. Make sure you make your competition putt out from everywhere. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. We were in a hurry one day and the starter met us on the second hole and went back to the clubhouse for us and stocked us up with beverages and snacks. If the wind is blowing stiff from the north, this course is a monster. I really enjoy playing at Quail.
Several cart issues.
Several carts ran out of power. Staff didn't offer to bring fresh carts. Didn't seem to care that some who paid for carts had to carry their clubs.
Beautiful back nine
The course starts wide open for a few holes but gets way better as it continues. Lots of leaves on the greens that could have been blown off but if you're just out for a casual round it's ok. Challenging.
Clubhouse is ok but nothing special. More of a snack bar.
All the players I saw were men which went with their lack of women's clothing in the pro shop and that they could not supply rate and slope for women off the whites. They are missing that women golf too !
Still worth playing.
Great Course to play
This course is always in great shape and well maintained. With it being fall the only issue is with leaves everywhere but otherwise a great course.
Very nice course
This is a nice course. Courteous staff. Greens and fairways are well maintained. My only issue with quair ridge is that there was not any signage to tell you where you were going. None of the tee boxes had numbers on them. The way the course is laid out, there were two occasions we almost tee'd off from the wrong hole. The only guidance we had was the map on our score card and the assistance of a few fellow golfers that knew the course well enough.
Good Value
Course is in pretty good shape and the pace of play was the best I have seen there in years.
Great course when the weather permits.
I come to Memphis on business about 4 times a year. This was a very good time for golf as the weather was fantastic! I booked through golfnow.com and was happy to find a course within reasonable distance. The staff allowed me use of their clubs-older pings-at no charge and were very cordial. The price was very good too. I informed my fellow golfers about Golfnow.com-as I always do-and they were surprised at the price. (you have new customers now) The course was in great condition and the greens were perfect! Thankfully the group I was with were natives of Tennessee and knew the course well as it traveled through the hills of Tennessee. The tee boxes were a little beat up but there was plenty of room to adjust. There were only a few dog leg left holes as most were fairly straight or a bit right.. I will always check Golfnow for tee times before I venture anywhere. Thanks again for the round.
Overall course very good
I think the fairways are cut too thin. There;s not enough grass to use a fairway wood
Great time
This course had really nice scenery. Greens were good but, difficult to read..Nice course..
