Slow Play
It was slow play because of the heat and a walker in the foursome ahead of us.

Nice course but could be even better
Had high hopes for a truly amazing experience but was slightly underwhelmed by the average conditions at Mirimichi. Overall a very good but not great course. Had a blast playing there, though!
The free range balls are a nice touch but the balls were really beat up and need to be replaced. The putting green had 50-75 balls scattered all over, and we had to be clear them off before warming up.
I’d suggest playing tees shorter than usual as the course is quite difficult. Lots of exacting shots and forced carries need to be executed.
The place was quiet and had a great vibe. The greens were in excellent shape. They are relatively easy to hit as they are gigantic. The green on 10 is skinny but is the longest I have ever seen. All the par 3s are interesting with great visual surroundings.
On a downside, the fairways weren’t great and many areas near the sides were in terrible shape. No grass and just hard-packed dried mud.
There was hardly anyone on the course, which was great, so we played in about 3:30. Plus, it is kind of in the middle of nowhere.
After Justin Timberlake sold the course, seems the owner has let the conditions slide just a bit. I will happily suggest it to anyone and would play it again if I am in the Memphis area.

Great Layout, average conditions
Played on 6/10. Mirimichi is a fantastic layout. A great course. Wonderful holes and very challenging. Great natural and man made features. The conditioning is average to slightly above average. The driving range is pretty bad. The greens were decent. If this course raised its conditioning a notch or two it would be a premiere golf course. I think when Justin Timberlake bought the course and dumped a ton of money into it, it must have awesome. A decade later (well after he sold) its getting a little tired and rough around the edges. This is definitely a must play and is very reasonably priced. It would be an easy five stars if the course was in a touch better shape.

Amazing Course
I have looked forward to playing this course for 5+ years and finally pulled the trigger. From the layout to the sheer private club atmosphere, this place is hard to beat. I have played a lot of public and private courses in the North Mississippi/ Memphis area including TPC Southwind, and Mirimichi ranks among the top of my list. 10/10 recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing course that will challenge you if you choose a further back tee box.

Fairways suck
Fairways are rock hard. My photos are too large to upload, otherwise I would publish them on here but it is just sad to see this place going downhill after Timberlake sold it after he improved it.
