Mirimichi Golf Course

Enjoyed another beautiful day at Mirimichi with my better half. Despite the chilliness (around 40 degrees to start the day) the day was pretty perfect. The free hot coffee put us in good spirits as we headed to #1 where we found the course in great condition. Love playing here as it is a very forgiving layout. At times one moans seeing the ball drift to the right expecting to find it out of bounds, if it is to be found at all only to discover it is perched quite nicely in the fairway. The fairways looked and played great. Greens were faster than we seemed to recall from previous trips, but again were immaculate. We only play here once or twice a month due to the travel distance, but we are never disappointed. Great bar staff and friendly grounds crew. Did I mention the free coffee. Really like the free coffee on cold mornings.

Fairways could've used some water, but overall a fun place to play. Front 9 is parkland style so beware the occasional stray ball coming your way. Back 9 is more unique. I wish they had the snack bar open at the turn instead of making folks trek back to the clubhouse. Probably due to staffing since there was only one overwhelmed person working at the counter there as well.

We got off early a finished in 3 hours. Just sprayed greens with annoying blue stuff, but course is otherwise in great shape. Have to keep it short grass. Natural areas are guaranteed lost ball.

Although a little out of the way for me in Southaven, this course is definitely worth the drive! I really enjoy the friendly staff and the amenities, including free range balls and several putting greens. The course is challenging and fun. Greens were firm but with few to no ball marks at all. They also have new carts with a ball/club washer, and a cooler for drinks. I’ll definitely play here again soon.

Course and everything about the place was great. Twosome in front of us could barely hit the ball further than 20 ft. Which I would normally not have a problem with, but they were playing from the tips. And just all around no respect for the people behind them. Playing 2 balls minimum every shot. Hit the ball 25-30 feet then walk to it.. all over with the golf cart. we needed up waiting a solid hour on them once the round was said and done.

Played here a few times and love it. I usually play Southwind TPC, but enjoy this course just as much if not more.

A few days of rain has transformed the fairways and greens - incredibly lush today. Balls landing on the fairway sat up as though perched atop an immaculately trimmed firm but soft bed of grass. The greens were playing fast today despite the humid and damp conditions. Could not have asked for a better day and staff as usual were smiling, jovial and kind. This is a gem of a course and cannot wait to return.

When Timberlake opened this course, it was a Jewel! I ranked it by far the Best Public Course you could have possibly hoped to play on.Sadly, those days are gone with the new owner. Since being sold to Fred Edmaiston in 2014, the couse has gone through massive neglect and negative changes.

The Driving range use to be something you would see at a PGA Tournament. It looks like a waste land now. Uncut, weeds everywhere out on the range. The Pin Flag are leaning, some barley standing.

Azaleas and Ornamentals use to shower along the entire course. All trees had pine needles to cover hard pan. This true no longer.

The Course use to employ as many as 5 PGA Pro Instructors. Some of them, the best in the business. Now there are none?

Handfuls of Directors Of Golf/ General Managers have been hired, with ALL being fired or quit. High turnover has been constant with this new owner.

Miramichi even use to have catered dinners on Friday evenings with live entertainment on the beautiful outdoor patio overlookingthe 9th & 18th Greens. Again, this is a thing of the past. The Patio remains empty and unused fo the most part.

It is truly sad to watch what use to be a golf Icon wither away. It will not be much longer I fear.

Even with the extreme heat we have been experiencing, the course is in great shape. I love how peaceful it is.

played with two out of town guests from St louis. It was great to play it again but it was extremely hot-over 100 degrees that day. FUN FUN FUN course.

I am such a huge fan of Mirimichi. The course layout is one of the most fun in the Memphis area. The staff is always friendly and the patio is just amazing for those after mid-round/post-round drinks. You even forget where you are. Very little houses can be seen from the course which make it a nice little get away. I highly recommend.
