About
The Legacy Golf Course is one of Robertson County's must-play courses. Opened in 1996, it is not as old as some other courses in the area but the designer, Raymond Floyd, took advantage of the existing mature woodlands spread throughout the lush, rolling hills. At 6,755 yards, the course is seemingly short but it is narrow, and be prepared to face troublesome hazards almost everywhere. It is notorious for making balls from even the most slightly errant shots disappear. It is a tough but fair challenge. The golf course starts with a tricky par 5 with a bunker on the right followed by a par 4 that requires a 200-yard carry or you'll surely be faced with trouble. The back nine at Legacy G.C. is slightly less difficult but there are still plenty of hazards as well as several blind shots.

Always fun
Great layout with different looks on each hole.
Conditions were good considering the weather lately.
I Always recommend The Legacy, if you haven’t played yet, do yourself a favor and play here.
Yardage Please...!
There's a lot to like about the Legacy Golf Course. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The layout is interesting and keeps you on your toes with lots of blind teeshots...and the greens are in good shape overall.
But I could find a hundred yard marker on only one hole. Which meant I had to either guess my yardage (not easy with all the elevation changes) or pace 70 - 80 yards to either the 150 marker or the green to choose my club. So waste time or miss the green...
Beware, there is not a drop of water to drink on the entire course. They don't even have a drinking fountain in the clubhouse....

disappointed
I thought once we had rain and heat to grow grass the fairways would be better Rough around the greens too. I like the layout. Need a ranger to keep pace of play. No one wants to play a 5 hour round.

Enjoyable Round
Always love playing The Legacy, it has the best variety of holes anywhere around.
Condition were good, greens were pretty quick and true.

Great Course
I played a round of 18 by myself. Pace of play was great. The course has some very large greens, which makes greens in regulation very high. However, your lag putting will be tested. If you’re not a good lag putter you can expect some 3 - putts.

Great course ran horrible
I’ve came up two different times now and haven’t been able to finish my round. Once because they let too many people take carts by themselves so they ran out And today because nobody managed pace of play. Today was 4 hours and waiting on the tee box at 15 before I finally gave up. Quite ridiculous for a weekday round. I recommend spending a little more money and going somewhere that actually keeps up with these things and makes it right. Not o well your just another number.
Fair and Challenging
Got out as a solo, didn't wait a single shot and didn't get pressed from behind. It was a perfect day. They have some dead areas on the fairways, but nothing where you can't move your ball a couple feet and hit off the grass. Greens were excellent, bunkers were perfect, it was a great day.

Cancelled Round - No Golf Carts
3 weeks ago we played this course and had to wait for 15 minutes past our tee time because the course didn't have enough golf carts.
Today we had a 3:48 pm tee time and ended up cancelling our round because we waited over 30 minutes and there was no chance of getting a cart soon. The attendant gladly gave us a refund, but the issue for me was that I cancelled a round of golf on Saturday so I could play this course. I drove over 100 miles today to play, but the course didn't have enough carts.
How can this be? It's not like the golf season snuck up on them. Poor management is my guess. If they are short on equipment, they shouldn't be letting 3 golf carts for 4 players either.
Couple this with fairways with a fair amount of grass loss and this keeps me, and the group of guys I play with, away from this course for the rest of the season.
Very disappointing, Maybe they should make a public announcement when they get enough golf carts to support their patrons.

fairways in need of repair
fairways were in terrible shape, hitting off dirt in many places
Fairways are terrible doesn't look like they're trying to fix them either, pace of play terrible no starter nor ranger giving direction
Legacy
Condition of the course was sub par for the amount of money charged. We started round at 3:30ish and we we made the turn the bar/beverage area was closed for the night. Disappointing
Greens are the best conditioned part of the course. Roll nicely however extremely slow. Fairways still have not recovered from late freeze and are still patchy. Should improve visually throughout summer but do not affect play. Courteous staff when engaged but only saw 3 staff the entire day. Overall decent day. Course condition not as good as Metro courses & price is 1.5x more. The lack of crowd is actually to it's advantage.
First time out to Legacy
Overall this was a great course. There are some areas of the fairways and greens that are damaged from late frost this past spring but they are being addressed and will be fine soon. Every course is dealing with this right now.

A lot of potential but only play with a deal
The course has a pretty layout but wasn’t in incredible shape. The greens were really well maintained, but ~50% of fairways were dead. Tight fairways on most holes made it challenging. I would play the course again but wouldn’t recommend paying more than $40 until they get their fairways fixed.
Not recommended
Limited yardage markers and no GPS on carts. Many fairways were brown and basically dirt.
