About
The Legacy Golf Course is one of Robertson County's must-play courses. Opened in 1996, it is not as old as some other courses in the area but the designer, Raymond Floyd, took advantage of the existing mature woodlands spread throughout the lush, rolling hills. At 6,755 yards, the course is seemingly short but it is narrow, and be prepared to face troublesome hazards almost everywhere. It is notorious for making balls from even the most slightly errant shots disappear. It is a tough but fair challenge. The golf course starts with a tricky par 5 with a bunker on the right followed by a par 4 that requires a 200-yard carry or you'll surely be faced with trouble. The back nine at Legacy G.C. is slightly less difficult but there are still plenty of hazards as well as several blind shots.

rolling hills
You will lose a couple balls but , you'll find a couple too. Good mix of hazards to keep your club selection keen but, not too many to be crazy. Scottish style of play where you rarely get a flat lie to hit from. Beautiful and picturesque landscape. The course is a little out of the way but I'll return to play another round or two, or more.

Surprised this is on any “top” list
Gimmicky layout (typical for a Raymond Floyd course). Greens were in decent enough shape, rest of the course was very poor condition. No ranger and 2 foresomes jumped ahead at the turn, not sure how they allow that?
It’s a tired course, not expensive but would take a hard pass on it for sure.
Course in great condition!

No ranger. Pace of play is a killer. No excuse for a 2 hour 40 minute 9 holes- 5 hour round. Staff actually was upset we booked through Golf Now. Said they never saw any of that money. The course itself plays nicely and is in above average shape.
Sadly, not worth the effort.

First time playing
Fun course. Great layout. Beautiful scenery. Range balls were hot garbage that literally scratched the heck out of my clubs. Bottom line, fun course but avoid the range balls.

Challenging course but lots of fun.
This course is challenging, but it's in great shape and always fun to play. The greens are in great shape and the fairways looked great as well.

I play this course every trip to Nashville about 3 times per year. It's a fun course and is always in good shape! Staff is always friendly and makes you feel welcome!

Good Day
The course was in nice condition, good tee boxes and fairways with plenty of cushion for fairway woods, the rough was well maintained if you found yourself in it. The greens are slow and soft, great for long iron shots, short wedges get very little roll. We played on Labor Day, pace was nice, never pushed and never felt pushed. I’ve played this course a bunch and always have a great experience.
Don’t use any online booking call the shop
I was charged 11 dollars to book a tee time through this awful site. Asked about it at the pro shop checking in and the great staff at this course took the ridiculous booking fee these places charge off my round. 11 dollars to book a tee time online? Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. Call all shops and make tee times, never use these sites. Rip off. The Legacy course however is amazing. Challenging…

Yardage Please...!
There's a lot to like about the Legacy Golf Course. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The layout is interesting and keeps you on your toes with lots of blind teeshots...and the greens are in good shape overall.
But I could find a hundred yard marker on only one hole. Which meant I had to either guess my yardage (not easy with all the elevation changes) or pace 70 - 80 yards to either the 150 marker or the green to choose my club. So waste time or miss the green...
Beware, there is not a drop of water to drink on the entire course. They don't even have a drinking fountain in the clubhouse....

disappointed
I thought once we had rain and heat to grow grass the fairways would be better Rough around the greens too. I like the layout. Need a ranger to keep pace of play. No one wants to play a 5 hour round.
