About
The Legacy Golf Course is one of Robertson County's must-play courses. Opened in 1996, it is not as old as some other courses in the area but the designer, Raymond Floyd, took advantage of the existing mature woodlands spread throughout the lush, rolling hills. At 6,755 yards, the course is seemingly short but it is narrow, and be prepared to face troublesome hazards almost everywhere. It is notorious for making balls from even the most slightly errant shots disappear. It is a tough but fair challenge. The golf course starts with a tricky par 5 with a bunker on the right followed by a par 4 that requires a 200-yard carry or you'll surely be faced with trouble. The back nine at Legacy G.C. is slightly less difficult but there are still plenty of hazards as well as several blind shots.

Nice course - rough shape
Really liked the layout. Unfortunately the course is going through what a lot of local courses are going through due to winter kill. I will plan on getting back up there in the fall and hopefully it will be in better shape. I also hope they can pump some money into the carts and cart paths.

I like this course
I live in Florida so probably won't play this course again but it is worth checking out....lots of water, hills and slopes to the greens not a place for beginners...pretty houses and a really nice back yard water feature at one of the tee boxes
Course I wants to charge a premium price for a very average experience. Greens and sand traps are excellent , but the fairways are lousy.
Great course, slow play
The staff is friendly and efficient, course in very good shape with bunkers well maintained but slow play was the norm. Played later in the day. Waited on every hole. At first thought it was fact we were twosome and had a foursome in front of us but quickly realized group in front of us, and group in front of them was waiting every hole. When we made turn after front nine holes we re-played first nine as there were three foursomes on the 10th tee box. Marshall was needed to keep play moving but never saw one.

Great greens
The greens were some of the best I’ve ever seen. The fairways still have some patches of dead grass but I spoke to the staff and they really seem to care. We teed off at 8:17 and made it around in 3:45 on a Wednesday. Hooray

Coming Along
We all know most public courses in the area had bad die-offs this past winter. Legacy was affected pretty badly. However, the greens are in fantastic shape. Many of the fairways have bare spots, and hopefully now that the temperatures are staying higher that will be better soon. I shot a comfortable 75 despite them. Ill take nice greens and bad fairways any day of the week. I only had to move my ball over to some grass maybe once or twice. It was fine, and I’ll keep playing Legacy until other courses get their greens back. Speaking of the greens, some of those pin placements are not fooling around. Tucked, on slopes, you name it. Tough spots. But fun. Great day.
PS: Get some new carts and new range balls, because YIKES.

Nice challenging golf course!
Played here many times last year and the mosquitoes were awful. This year I can say that they have cleaned up the stagnant water areas and eliminated this issue.
The golf course plays nice and challenging with pretty good looking fairways and greens. The bunkers are also better than you’ll find at most other public courses. Overall, worth playing here.
