Northcliffe Golf & Country Club is one of the most beautiful and well maintained golf courses in the San Antonio and New Braunfels area. The par-72 golf course is enjoyable for the average golfer, yet a challenge to the low-handicap players.
Lots of water, trees and rolling fairways and greens make Northcliffe Golf & Country Club a fun course to play. Players of all skill levels will find this golf course a challenge. It's the closest course to Retama race track, so you heavy betters can have a full day and night. The Northcliffe Golf & Country Club staff is user friendly and professional.

Still soggy, but great course
I have tried to play this course twice and it never fails, both times, it has rained the night before. I really enjoy this course layout, good length par 3's, the par 5's are challenging and the green are in excellent condition. Can't wait to play it again, hopefully dry this time to get a good feel for the real teeth of the course.
Not bad, not great
I brought my father to play this course while he was visiting. They course was alright, maintained well enough but nothing impressive. They are doing a lot of construction to the "club house" which is a small upstairs room with a cash register and a few drinks. I would play again, only if the price was around $15/person.

Course was in quite good shape. Fairways were being mowed while we were there, so some were better than others...a couple hours later, all of them would have been real good. A good course for all skill levels.

Good course for the money.
Never play in back of a junior tournament. It was agony. Staff told us that it was a nine-hole tournament, which is tolerable. Turned out to be 18, which is not.

It's a good course for the price. They have kept it up well even during the drought.
Good layout and a good price.
Course continues to be well-groomed and well-maintained.....especially the fairways. Greens are in very good shape with only a few bumpy places. This course remains a fun layout with a chance to score well.

It's a good value for the money
Northcliffe is a good value for the money you pay. It's not super pristine or dilapidated. Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape for the most part. Greens had a strange grass I hadn't seen before, but they rolled okay. The layout is typical of courses that old, and it was fun but still had some demanding shots. I would definitely play again sometime.
Good value.
This course doesn't pretend to be Augusta it's a straight ahead have fun course. Considering the drought it's in good condition, especially the fairways. The greens show some signs of lack of water but they were smooth and putted nicely. It was fairly crowded but the Marshall kept things moving.
Keeping it green in a hot dry summer
Fairways are in overall good shape. Bunkers need attention. Greens are fair to good, but in some places outer areas of green are bare. The course has been working on improving conditions, and for the price its a good value.
Well conditioned, and watered, nice greens and fairways
Greens were great, but challenging, fairways well watered and mowed, rough mowed but with many difficult areas, a great value for only $30

the cousre has some challenging holes and water hazards this is the second time i have played it and me and my friends will be back again
Great in the morning
This course is a good course for the value in the mornings. I would not play here anytime past 11am. The sun really dries the course out and it becomes concrete. However, anytime prior to 11am this course is fantastic! Great value and will definitely play here again. The staff is extremely nice, possibly the nicest Marshall ever. I recommend this course to anyone
This course was a pleasant surprise,I enjoyed the round.
This was my first time playing the course , it was a good test of golf. I plan to play it again in the near future.

We had a blast. Friendly staff, well kept course. If you are a skilled golfer this course may be easy for you, but I found it to be moderately challenging.
