Northcliffe Golf & Country Club

I'm an average golfer, I play because I love the game. North Cliffe is challenging for the average golfer, might be fairly easy for a low hadicap golfer. They should be able to shoot a great score. But you still have to play it to find out. It was tough on me!
I'll be playing there again real soon.

No sand in the sand traps your club head just bounces which results in a poor shot. the greens need a lot of help.
and if you are disabled and need assistance around the greens the staff is not helpful or understanding.

This has to be the WORST condition of any golf course I have EVER played.
Bunkers hard and not in condition or full of water. Teeing grounds oval topped, narrow and bare.
Greens were mostly brown and bumpy, rough, and totally neglected.
I called ahead of time to ask about the conditions and was told it was in good shape. LIES all the way around.
Save your money and play in the streets or parking lots.

Was a great course to play. Staff were exceptional.

The course was very well laid out. For the price, it was amazing. The conditions were decent, but it is winter. So, you can't expect much better. There were a couple of slow guys in front of us, but they were not too bad. You should definitely try this place! It's fun!

This was a terrible experience on this course, first we were behind a tournament where golfers were taking up to 15 minutes on the putting greens. On hole 16 there were 5 foursomes waiting to tee off. These guys were playing like the were PGA tour players who play for millions. The green were atrocious they were so bad that I had 2 putts roll off the green from inside of 10 feet.

Golf cart was sluggish. The greens were in poor/rough condition with very little grass which made them excruciating fast. The fairways were also bare. Thought they would have put some winter grass seed down or something. #10 hole fairway was like skiing a double diamond mogul run.

We've played several times. Interesting holes and great value. Definitely needs some work. Super friendly staff.
Very enjoyable

Not too expensive, you pay for what you play, that is, the course is not very good and neither are the facilities. Greens have grass clippings and dirt balls all over them which makes putts almost impossible to make. Play is super slow because they allow 4-6 players in one group. The entire staff was so friendly and caring- expect for one man- the warden. He hopped on my butt because I arrived on time to the tee time, not 5 minutes early (reguardless that I had to wait 10 minutes for the 4 some in front of me on hole 1) and then he yelled at me because I went into the club house to get a drink real quick after hole 9, despite me getting right back to the course after that. That one man ruined the whole day of golf for me, and he is the reason why I will never be returning to the course.

It was packed due to the nice weather. Parking was dificult and pace was over 5 hours. Fairways were in playable condition. You can't beat the price and we were prepared for the slow play.

great value. very nice course. a bit crowded though. a treesome let us play through on hole 10. only to get held up again on hole 14 by a foursome. . . . that became a sixsome, yes six players playing the same hole, on hole 16.

This course waters and mows frequently. Everything is in good condition. I feel this course is good value for your money. Even the golf carts are nice.

Course is in pretty good condition.. the greens could use a little attention, but the fairways are in great shape. For the price you pay to play out here, you can't beat it. Good carts, cheap range ball prices, extremely friendly staff, and a good all around experience. I would definitely recommend this course if you are looking for a value play.

Nice Course. Staff was friendly. Has some easy holes along with some difficult pin placements.

The course conditions were very good. Tees, fairways, and greens were all in good shape. The layout is good, challenging, and yet very playable. I would definitely play here again.

This place isn't bad for the money ($16 on a weekend). The greens were not overseeded and kinda dead, but still held approach shots. They are probably fixing a long time problem they have had with several types of grasses on the greens.

The course has gone through many financial problems in the last few years, but still somehow remains open. It's obvious they don't have a lot of money to put into the course, but they do a lot with what they have. The course is still maintained. Grass is mowed, traps are raked, trees are trimmed.

If you're looking for a place that doesn't cost an arm and leg, has a pretty good layout, and still offers a challenge, then this is your place. If you're looking for pristine conditions, go somewhere else.

played 12/29/2012 a saturday. took 5 hrs. a fivesome was playing about 2 groups ahead of us. they had the whole course held up.marshall said one of the five said he knew the owner.after we finished and were leaving we saw the fivesome settling their bets in the parking lot. didn't set well with me.I'll be back but during the week.

This is a really great course for all level of players. The course was so packed they added me to a foursome. My 3rd time playing here, my first time seeing it this busy. We playing from the blue tees, which I have no business doing, but still found it very enjoyable. Fairways and greens are in excellent shape for this time of year. Houses could be an issue if you tend to spray the ball; I banged a number of roofs but no windows thankfully. Overall great value.

I would like to love this course, it is the closest to my house have few friends that are members and it is in good shape, I play there a couple of times a year if I do not play more offen is because on weekends it can take up to 5 hours to finish a round, they allow 5 somes I have seen 6 somes playing on a saturday or sunday, so play there from Monday - Thursday, friday to sunday forget about it unless you have 5 to 6 hours to spare. Staff is not that friendly either.
