Northcliffe Golf & Country Club is one of the most beautiful and well maintained golf courses in the San Antonio and New Braunfels area. The par-72 golf course is enjoyable for the average golfer, yet a challenge to the low-handicap players.
Lots of water, trees and rolling fairways and greens make Northcliffe Golf & Country Club a fun course to play. Players of all skill levels will find this golf course a challenge. It's the closest course to Retama race track, so you heavy betters can have a full day and night. The Northcliffe Golf & Country Club staff is user friendly and professional.

It is what it is
not the nicest course ever, but generally a pretty good value. Lot of slope to the greens. Putts are not easy. Compared to Northern Hills, the Hawk, much nicer. I would recommend, but not to a perfectionist or somebody that needs a nice clubhouse, etc.
Slow play on weekend
Wide open course with some interesting holes. Heavy use. Pace of play is slow and includes 5-somes. Greens in pretty good shape but players not always best at repairing ball marks and raking traps.
Not a bad value if you watch for online deals.
VERY SLOW... I had a 12:37 tee time, and didn't get back to the clubhouse until after 6pm. Playing as a twosome. Spent most of our time waiting for the party in front of us, who was waiting on the party in front of them.
Not a bad value if you watch for online deals. I am looking for a course to purchase a membership, and through reading and talking to others at the couse, I do not believe this is the course for me, too many limitations on when full members can play without a surcharge.
this course is in good shape
The course was in good shape considering the resent rains that left a few water spots on the course in some not so great places but over all good corse
We have played this course before. It is in the best condition we have ever seen it.
It was a beautiful day in San Antonio and the course was busy but play went smooth. I got my first 3 pars ever (new female player) so I was very happy. Spouse is a much more experienced player and he finds the course challenging enough for him even though it is easy enough for me.
This course is improving
This course is a typical muni course. The greens have been getting better over the last year or two. The fairways are still not great with lots of ant hills, weeds and more. This is a great course if you want to get outside and golf, but not a great course if you are looking to post a good score.
Nice Layout
Reasonably challenging from the back tees, but a fair golf course.
nice course
i only put course needs work because i think someone left sprinklers on by accident, it was very wet even though it hadn't rained in awhile. otherwise nice little course, some nice holes. worth the price.
I was challeneged
I am 5 months into playing golf after having retired and I found this course very challenging. It is very wide spread with open fairways and long par 5's. Plenty of water hazards and sand traps, not to mention the greens are very unbalanced. I enjoyed my game and look forward to many more as I improve my game and hope to beat this course!
Course was in great shape and played unger 4 hours
Staff was very friendly and had a great experience.
Nice course, but without a GPS one had no idea where the holes went.
The holes were misnumbered - no. 16-18 were really no. 7-9. Like I said its and nice course. The green were in very poor putting condition.
