Northcliffe Golf & Country Club

This course is in horrible condition. They water NOTHING. Rather than players paying, the course should be paying players for showing up so they can say someone played .... good grief! Fairways are hard pan to the point you would probably sprain your hands trying to take a divot. The greens are rough and I mean rough!! Large brown spots, crab grass growing in them, bumpy and please avoid the "sand" traps because there's no real sand .... they too are hard pan AND there are weeds growing in them. Seriously, this course should close up or be taken over by a real golf outfit that could improve its condition to the point it would be worth playing. They cut the tall weeds along the tee boxes and fairways and just left the stuff all clumped up everywhere. When I say cow pasture, I doubt that even the cows would want to graze this property. Oh, and their mower guy even mowed over one of our player's balls and cut it to shreds. Amazing experience .... one we won't take a mulligan on!!!

Greens very poor, layout and distance average. I played with my 12 year old son and he had a very good time

I've played this course several times and this is the worse its ever been in. I would not recommend playing this course. I will never play it again!

All the staff were extremely nice, best part of experience. The course was brutal- greens were awful, hadn't been mowed in a while and bunkers were rock piles. We got a great Hot Deal price otherwise probably would've been diappointed. it could be a nice tract and has women friendly yardages (my wife's comment), but grounds need major help. I don't think I would play it again

An ok course but could be much better

Terrible greens, fairways are ok the course has some room for improvement.

Too much recent rain for this pace to be this hard and terrible. Two tee boxes were so hard I couldn't even get a tee in the ground. Greens are atrocious and the bunkers are worse. No sand. They play like hard pan. Greens are half dead. Putts bounce all the way to the hole. You'll be punished over and over with terrible lies when you've hit the ball well. The really funny part was how the starter spent 5 mins telling us where not to drive the cart. No way they water with any regularity. Too bad as the layout is pretty good and would be a course to play to work on a lot of different shots.

The Greens destroyed the round. It was as if they were all temporary greens that were terrible even for temporary greens. Otherwise the rest was good.

Played Northcliffe for the first time in several years and regret it. We stopped playing because of the course conditions and will again refrain from playing due to course conditions. Greens are almost not puttable, they are fast but spotty grass and lots of weeds make it impossible to keep a putt on line. Rough, fairway, and tee boxes are mainly clover. Once it gets hot that will all die off and maybe things will be better but maybe it will be a desert.

Have played this course many times. It seems they have let it go a bit. Fairways are a little rough and the greens are in awful shape. Many square patches where there isn't even grass. Ball bounces around and makes it tough to read the easiest putt. But overall, you get what you pay for. It's a decent course, hopefully they will make a comeback!

The course is very well designed and has an appropriate number of challenges. The greens need some help. Most were bare is many spots.

Played with my wife. Seeking fairly easy track and good price for play. This fit that bill. Layout is decent except for one hole on back nine where no true landing zone for tee shot. Staff was friendly. Fairways very bumpy. Greens with a lot of slope but not a lot of grass. Good for our needs this day and the GolfNow price was great. But course needs attention to improve conditions.

this was probably the worst course we ever played. the tee blocks need attention, the fairways are in need of grass, same as the greens. in fact the greens have sand where there is no grass. this course needs a lot of tlc. even for the low price they are asking, it is not worth it.

This course was not worth the money. While it had a good design it is poorly maintained, especially the greens. They were full of crabgrass and had large bald areas that were smoothed over with sand. they were bumpy and would not hold an approach shot. The staff was nice but I don't go to a course for the staff, but for the golfing.

Greens were in ok shape for the time of year. Grass was in spring like condition. It had just rained 2"" over night so was pretty wet but still played well. Would go back again.

I played this course today and found the fairways are very dry and hard. Most of the grass on the green is in poor shape. Sand traps are hard as a rock where you are hiring packed dirt and not sand. Basically a bad experience. This course used to be a hidden gem. Now I won't return until I hear someone compliment the course.

I had booked through Golfnow, my tee-time was canceled and I did not receive a call. I happen to check my e-mail and saw the tee-time was cancelled. When I called the course they told me there was a tournament that was larger than expected. The person in the pro-shop was not empathetic or very friendly. To top it off, I was still charged by Goldnow.
