Not worth the $
The gentleman at the register got mad/irritated with us because we wanted to split a bucket of balls 15 min before our tee time...(there was 3 of us)....anyhow, the ground it extremely hard and the greens are probably the worst that I have seen this year....over all you're better off going to Silverhorn, Northern Hills or Canyon Springs for the price
Grumpy old men
Firm 8pm deadline to return carts, they need a cart boy to stick around. Fairways were in rough shape, like ski moguls. Cart broke down, the marshals and starter were a little rude and the intrusive.
Good Course Great People
Had a nice time with my son. People are truly "Texas Friendly:. Pace was quick and were allowed to play through with no problem.
Outstanding Staff
From Lacey in the clubhouse to the cart attendants and all marshalls, I enjoyed playing. I found the fairways to be fine and the greens were fine. As far as the bunkers, I was only in the bunkers twice. They were little bit hard but then again, we need some more rain. I will return.
North Cliff
Bunkers have very little to no sand in them....Some of the greens have huge dead spots in them....
Greens a little rough
Your ball will hop when putting on these greens. With all the rain we've had this year, you'd think they would be better. Goes for the rest of the course too. Ball will roll a ways in the fairways and you need a hammer to put your tee in the ground.
Good news is the price!! So, if your okay with less then perfect greens and like getting a few more yards off the tee then you'll enjoy it...
no complaints based on cost
Great little aim and shoot practice course..... not long, but can make you pay if you go wrong. Very hard surfaces everywhere. Greens very hard surfaced. Overall no complaints for the online price.
Simple but fun course
Course is a good time and is taken care of for the most part. The only negative part of the actual course is the bunkers. They are so bad that I take relief from them to save me from breaking my wrist. They are more like mud/pebble bunkers than sand bunkers.
Disappointed
Great course description when you click on course name when in golfnow t times. The actual course was a disappointment. Greens were sparse and bumpy, fairways were hard and spotty with crabgrass. Nice layout but course needs a lot of maintenance.
Needs some work
Definitely needs some work. The greens were slow and poorly maintained; same for the bunkers. Short course, not very challenging. There are better values in the area.
Greens
The greens were bad. They are common Bermuda and I don't think they can get better. Other than that it was a nice course.
Poorly maintained course
This course was in as bad of shape as I can remember seeing for an 18 hole country club setting course. The greens were about the same as the fairways. Burned up with bumps and clumps of grass in them. The bunkers were hard pan dirt and rocks. We just picked up and dropped out of them because you could hurt yourself hitting out of them. The part of this that was most disappointing was that we have had a tremendous amount of rain lately. I can't imagine how bad this would be if we had our usual amount of rain. You wouldn't be able to gold on it at all. Sad because it could be a really nice course.
Fun course layout, questionable course management
I enjoyed the layout of this course for the most part. Moderately challenging, and fun. Fariways and rough were in good condition.
The greens and sand traps however, were in terrible condition. Course management also made some questionable decisions which did impact our round. While playing on a Sunday afternoon, my foursome was being pushed all day by groups behind us as a string of singles and twosomes were allowed to tee off without pairing up. We played in just over four hours, so slow play was not a culprit for being pushed. When we made the turn to the back nine, we also found that they were starting groups on the back nine, as we had to wait at the 10th tee.
This coarse is only average.
This coarse is only average because for a few, what I call minor fixes would help tremendously such as add sand to bunkers and a little more maintenance on the carts so they are more reliable. The greens could use a little work.
Great price
Great price for this course. Conditions were fair. Greens needed a lit work but overall was good.
Awsome
Had a great time staff was very friendly course in fair condition greens need work
NC review
Course was sloppy. Over half of greens were horrible. But you get what you pay for.
Nice course, great price
I almost didn't play this course after reading a review about them being unfriendly, but I am glad I did. frank checked us in and he spent 10 minutes just chatting with us. The starter was very helpful and explained the first few holes since we had never been here before.
After a tough winter, the condition of this course is the best course we have played in Central Texas. We are in an RV traveling for the last several months.
Although I did not eat at the facility, I overheard someone in the restaurant saying this is great food and a well kept secret.
The pace of play was fantastic, because it was threatening thunderstorms so the course was pretty wide open.
5 minutes after we finished 18 it began pouring rain so we were very lucky.
Not worth more then the $10 I paid
Drainage problems, the greens were bad & in overall bad shape. They cut the fairways to make it look nice from the highway, but once you get on them it's a basic goat ranch! But at least it was cheap!
