Enter snack bar with caution
The course was in great shape and will get better in a few weeks after we have some heat to really activate the grass! Pro shop and almost all the staff are very friendly. Enter the snack bar with caution! Not the friendliest staff there! Great burger but they acted like I had asked for their first born or something because I ordered right at 10:30 am. Shame on me!
Fairways bare spots
Greens fast but smooth fairways doremet with many bare spots. Working on Club house stairs
Overall enjoyed our round.
Following the rain and cold
Course was in good shape considering the recent weather issues.
golf carts
windshields need replacing. course was dry and was told course was " cart path only" NO WATER ON COURSE mowers were on every hole and had to wait for them to clear and were also noisy. This was not the way this course normally is operated.
Wide open fairways
Only reason course conditions are lacking are due to drought. Staff does what they can with what they have.
Pace was ridiculously slow
We were a group of 3. We got stuck behind a group of 6 ( 3 were children). This has always been my issue with Cleburne. They allow groups of 5 or 6, and no one ever wants to let the groups playing faster play through. They have no marshals on the course.
Good enough
Easy layout from the Tips. Greens are ok and getting better. Rough is getting longer which makes the course look better. Downfall of longer rough is that the groups of 5 spent a long time looking for each ball they hit off the fairway, as well as searching for the lost balls from others. Pace of play was extremely slow due to the group of 5 and when I asked if I could play though, they said no. I was able to skip ahead and gave up holes for the pace of play caused by the extremely slow groups of retirees.
One of the worst course's I've been to
The lady in the pro shop shouldn't be working at a golf course, had a snobby attitude and didn't care if I took someone else's tee time. They were watering the holes while everyone was golfing at 12pm. Also through the whole 18 holes not one cart person driving around offering drinks or water.
