Cleburne Golf Links

Beautiful day for golf! Staff and players always friendly. 5 star rating for staff and burgers! I rated 5 star on everything. It was still winter, and fairways, etc were still dead, but the facility was immaculate and practice amenities are well played out. Look forward to coming back out and using my bronze membership which BTW is and EXCELLENT value!

The course is in good shape considering the time of year and recent weather conditions. Heavy rains end of last week and thru Tuesday but course drains well. Greens putt true and are in good shape. Good staff and good food at the grill. Excellent hamburgers. If you haven't played Cleburne, give it a try. There are a tee box suitable for everyone.

I worked for the course as they opened then a year after. I got a chance to see this coure develope into a unique challange and adventure of play. I mean, long narrow slopping fairways, rolling greens, oh did i mention the winds from the lake. excellant greens and fairways. I have played close to 70 rounds, enjoyed everyone, worth the $$.

For the money, this course really can't be beat. The length from the back tees rivals a lot of PGA tour courses, yet the blue tees offer a very challenging layout for the mid-handicapper like myself. The bunkers that were added the past year really brings strategy more into play, which is a very welcome change. I especially love playing here in the late fall and winter months, because the greens are smooth and roll REALLY fast, but also very true.

As other reviewers have noted, DON'T LEAVE without trying one of the grill's now-famous burgers! BEST IN THE METROPLEX!

All in all, this is truly one of the best golf bargains to be found anywhere, and is definitely worth a road trip for out-of-town golfers!

Cleburne Golf Links is in fantastic shape. The greens are beautiful and even though they are slick as glass they do roll true. The rest of the course is in great shape and they have added a few strategic bunkers around the course that have added a level of difficulty for some holes that was needed.

The only downside to my round was there was no beverage cart service the day I played. Other than that I could play Cleburne every time I play!

Cleburne is a fun course to play. Several risk/reward holes. Good fairways, greens are smooth and roll true. Rough is manageable but as usual being in the fairway is much, much easier.

Love to go to Cleburne Links. I am a single digit handicap, female. On the few occasions I have come upon a group of mostly male players I have ALWAYS been offered to play thru (or join them!). The short game area is great for practice. The burgers in the grill are fantastic, and the staff are friendly and efficient. I also belong to a private country club and rank the staff and course at Cleburne Links right up there! The course is generally in very good condition!

The course is in great shape right now. With all the rain this year - it was able to rebound and is in really great shape. The pace of play is always good and the scenery is a plus. Top off your round with great burgers at the clubhouse while overlooking the lake. Enjoy.

Tee'd off at 10:54 and walked off the 18th green at 1:50pm. The course was in great shape and well taken care of. The marshal was extremely courteous. There wasn't a beverage cart running but I was advised of that at the club house before starting my round. The course was challenging, I would recommend taking extra balls as they can be lost easily in the native landscape.

Decided to stop at the 19th hole for a burger when I finished and it was pretty good. The view overlooking the lake cant be beat. I will be back.

This round was long. Seemed like a very long wait on every tee box.

Course was in great shape, had an amazing time! It's a great course anyways, but if you can find a Hot Deal that makes it evendors better!

Links rough and the greens where in very good condition. I played on a very windy day and with most of the holes running close to the lake it was the closest you are going to get in Texas for true link like experience. Tee boxes were cut and soft enough to stick the tee in the ground. Ball washers for every hole and the water and soap was fresh but I did play after a tournament. I suspect the management is good about changing the ball washers daily. Pet peeve, but I hate ball washers that smell like sewage and/or dry holes! Greens run true.

This is a cumulative review as I have played this course many times and have just never taken the time to write a review. I have played most of the courses in the south DFW area, and all of the courses in this local area. Cleburne is a top notch course. People often complain about the lake noises, but you will only hear those on the weekend. The pace of play is usually good, but I have gotten stuck behind multiple fivesomes before. I could go on all day about the course condition, and it continues to improve. Greens are true and well manicured. The fairways have plenty of cushion. The tee boxes are mowed nicely. Great Driving Range, Putting green and chipping green. This course is definitely worth driving out of your way to play. I am giving it a 5 star rating because 4.5 is unavailable. The reason I would not say a solid 5 stars, is because I feel the course could have used a little more creativity when being designed, but the current ownership has gone all out in making sure this is the best course it can be. I don't know if you can get much better than Cleburne for a public course.

A fun course with some challenges. Pace was good and course in great condition.

this course is well maintained. its a bit of a drive from fort worth but we think it's worth it. its a fun course to play with 4 sets of tees that makes it fun from the whites but challenging from the tips. I have played both. They have a great hamburger and friendly staff. the greens roll very true and were almost flawless when I played yesterday.

I played this course three times 2 years ago. Fairways were burnt and so we're the greens.

But now almost perfect. Go play!!!!!

The course itself was excellent, in great shape mostly. Thick rough that sometimes ate the balls, making them hard to find, but usually escapable. There was a junior tourney that slowed the pace down to a crawl, which was tortuous in the triple digit heat. If you avoid the days when anklebiters are running around, it would be a great course to play.

The course is in great condition and ready for play. Very surprised the greens. They were the best I have seen on a municipal course this time of year.
