Cleburne Golf Links

Typically play nicer places so maybe my view is off. Staff was very friendly and the burger is very good. That's about all I enjoyed. Course was pretty firm given the rain and the greens were spare. Putting green appeared to have not been mowed in a few days, but regular greens were much faster. Fairways and especially the rough was full of weeds, tee boxes were ok to fair throughout. I had much higher expectations based off the previous reviews. Quit after 15 holes because pace of play was terrible. Multiple large groups of 60+ hr old men and they did not care to let faster groups play through. They were your typical local muni regulars.

Windy day on Lake Cleburne. Course is fairly easy with no wind, mildly difficult with it. Good greens but a little slow. Course is recovering from flooding quite well. Pace was good. Price was fantastic.

Excellent fair course for the money

Really enjoy this course with only one complaint. They let too many singles and 2s off without pairing them up. One one occasion our foursome let three singles and three twosomes play through on the front nine. They really to try to do something about that. Other than that we really like the course and staff.

I really enjoyed this course. From, fast, and plenty of wind which is what you expect from a links style course. There were a few greens that had 2 different types of grass competing against each other and made for a bumpy roll but overall the course is in great shape. Tough but fair. I will be back.

Oh and there burgers from the grill are A++

Enjoyed the round, course layout somewhat odd number 9 at the turn to far from clubhouse. They do offer phone service just don't feel comfortable doing that. Well maintained and a little challenging.

This course was transformed when it was re-constructed. It sits on Lake Cleburne and the views are stunning.They are now adding sand bunkers - which will add difficulty - and they are well done. The grill is really good - flame broiled burgers - best I have had at any golf course. Not a long course but with water in play (ponds and Lake Cleburne) on a number of holes, it's a good course with plenty of challenge. Try to avoid really windy days as there is nothing to stop the wind - the course sitting along the lake. The staff have always been super helpful and friendly. The pro shop has a good offering and prices are fair. There a number of elevated T's (#3&4 come to mind) which are fun to hit from. Yeah, it is a drive - but, well worth it - this course is a hidden gem, a real sleeper.

The new sandtraps look great. Pace of play was fairly slow. Unfortunately this is do to poor golfers who do not know game etiquette. It would be nice if the cart girl would come around more than once a round. Fun course.

They are doing quite a few things to improve the course. It's going to be more fun and challenging.

Had read the good reviews and wanted to try this one out. Nice wide fairways........not a lot of trouble unless you really mishit a shot. Greens were in very good shape for winter. I will be back again.....want to see this place in the spring and summer.

Worst service I have ever had, driving range is always closed...

nice little course, played on a tuesday and did not realize the local golf team practiced there, cut my rd short after course became clogged up. i didn't mind, loved to see that many young golfers playing.

This course was very nice and fun to play. It's not a hard course to play and is enjoyable.

Good course to play and learn. I am just starting back to playing again and the course is a fairly easy but challenging at times to play.

We played in the heat of the day, so we basically had the course to ourselves. For such dry conditions, the fairways were very nice. They had just sanded the greens, so they were ok. We will definitely be back!

This in the course I frequent the most and I can't get enough of it. The staff is really nice and the course is in nice shape. The greens on each hole can be inconsistent when they aerate it, but most of the time, they are well maintained. Will all the rain we got in the spring, the course is still beautifully green.
The wind from Lake Pat is a blessing and a crutch because it's much cooler to play from the wind, but at the same time it affects your game. I love that there are no sand pits, but there is a lot of Nature around it to make you lose balls pretty easily if you don't hit it straight.
All in all, this is the course I chose to play at every time and to me it's the most underrated course in DFW.
