Favorite course
I have played courses all over and always come back. This course allows overall game improvement without the frustration. Wide open, well kept and varied level of challenges. Bring water balls LOL. The staff are genuine and helpful and the people playing are generally the most polite of anywhere I have played.

If you love wind, this is the course.
A beautiful day to play. The golf course is in excellent condition. This grass goes dormant so it's yellow but it is a terrific turf to play on. As long as you hit the fairway, you had a perfect lie. The greens are very smooth, fast and undulating. These are not easy greens because of their speed. The course is located immediately next to a lake and the wind was blowing a consistent 30 mph with gusts to 35 mph. The green for hole number 10 is the green that looks like it's on a peninsula to the left. The green that you see dead ahead is actually the green for number 13. I had a great time. The wind wasn't blowing on my front nine, I was one under. The wind kicked up severely on the back and I shot three over. I had a chance tobreak par for the first time until I bogeyed three of the last four holes for a 74. A great day.

A fun, sunny round!
This was a fun course to play, even though the course could better indicate which way to turn and locate the right flag. (One hole has three flags in the distance when you address the fairway. An arrow on the tee box would clarify the correct direction.) The mini-verde greens were extremely fast and the greens are firm. Never used my divot tool once! Golf course courtesy is sort of challenged by today's golfers, but most of those encountered were very considerate. Everything considered-a fun time and we will visit again. everyone should taste those greens!!

Marshal inforcement
Marshal assistance.....In observing singles and pairing them up with other singles when appropriate. While playing impatient singles hit into foursomes at steady play.

Thank you for your comments...... up to 5 new marshals are in place and are ready to maintain the pace of play..... The course will continue to get busier and the amount of singles on the course will lessen
Bad Course Design
Not for seniors or beginners - very bad layout

We appreciate you coming out to play our golf course. We would like to inform you that a large portion of our daily play is from players over 55 years old. We are also the only course in the area that has a set of Junior Tees, these "Wee" Tees as we call them, will cut the golf course down to 2500 yards, a perfect distance for beginners of any age. We hope that you will come back and give our course another chance soon.

Course Improving!
I have played Cleburne Golf Links since the course opened a few years ago, and I have seen improved overall course conditions over this past year. They are cleaning up the habitat areas, and this has not only made the course look better, but has also improved speed of play. I would definitely recommend this course to any golfer!!
Thank you for your comments...... the work on our habitats continue as well as a few new touches here and there...... I'm going to keep it hush hush...... come out and see it for yourself as soon as possible
Cleburne Golf Links
The course was in great shape. The pins were placed on uneven parts of the greens but without bunkers the course would be defenseless. We played on Sunday and we had a fivesome in front of us. The group ahead of them was a sixsome. The course broke them up twice. We saw another sixsome that was five or six groups ahead of them. The hamburger after the round is a must have! I will go back and play again.
Thank you for choosing our facility to spend your afternoon...... as many as five new marshals are in place and sixomes will not be tolerated..... pace of play is important at CGL..... pins should not be placed on slopes and this problem was addressed
Nice putting surface! Try the hotdog!
This was my first time playing here and I had a good time! I enjoyed the layout and greens, but the fairways were not smooth and lack of water in hazards took away from this course. Some water hazards need to be looked at and maybe filled in with sand or turf! Don't leave without trying the hotdog!
Thank you for your comments..... Without rain we are looking at viable options for our hazards...... expect to see work on the few troublesome areas in the fairways to continue..... if you think the hot dog is good, why not try our award winning hamburger
Great greens
Good course with nice greens but no sand traps .some really good holes though

Impressed!
My first time on the course since the re-build. Very impressed, the greens were very good as were the fairways. The only problem I experienced was that the foursome in front of us (a twosome) would not let us or anyone else play through and they were very slow. Spent a lot of time looking for lost balls! The associate at the golf shop warned us that that might be a problem! Not very courteous. We let several single players through but that foursome put the halt to all those singles. Great Course Though!

Nice course with good views of the lake
I really enjoyed this first time around this golf course. Greens are 10 days past the last punch but rolled surprisingly fast and true. Not a bunker on the course, but plenty of trouble off of fairways.
Really good burgers in the grill with a nice deck overlooking the lake.

Very nice course with great views of the lake.
Haven't played this course in awhile, forgot what a nice track it is. Will definitely play it more often now.

Great course!
The course was wide open because the temperature was 100+. Considering the hot weather, the course was in excellent shape. The greens were a little dry, but rolled true and fast. Overall, a great place to play golf.

Great Links style course for avid golfers
The course was in great shape and was challenging from the black tees. The course staff were very friendly. A heck of a deal for $10 per player on GolfNow "Hot Deal". I highly recommend this course for any level of golfer.

One need to come down and play this course its fairness is great but can be challeging. Big bang for the bucks you will have fun.

No sand traps
Course was well manicured. Greens recovered from aerating. Twosome played in less than 3 hours.
