About
There's no doubt Red Wolf Golf Resort is a Texas-themed facility, complete with holes named after the Harrington's bulls (they are providers of bulls for professional rodeos) and a Southwestern-styled clubhouse. As for the golf course, Jay Riviere's design has always been considered a fine layout. Take advantage of the easier front nine by scoring well on the opening holes. No. 9 is the most difficult hole on the course. It shoots through a narrow opening uphill into the sloped fairway. This one is mean -- it was formerly a par 5 -- and requires a long approach over a lake.

Love the giveaways
Nice course. Great greens. Lot's of leaves. Easy to lose balls. Love the fact that you get a sleeve of balls or a hat just for playing Mon-Thurs.
Not worth a penny more than I paid; good greens, horrible fairways
The course was pretty much a cow pasture. I saw the reviews before I booked and was looking forward to a well-kept and challenging course. The tees and fairways were awful: weeds, bare spots, leaves all over, and bunkers more like dirt than sand - seemed like no attempt has been made to keep the course in shape. Except for the greens which were in very good condition.
We got a good rate, but it was barely worth that.

I would not waste my time again
I played this course Sat. Dec, 8 2012. It is a cow pasture at best. A pretty good layout, but another golf course course laid to waste. A great deal of work is needed to repair this place. Beautiful location, leaves all over. Could not find my ball twice just off the fairway. Staff and building very nice and clean, but the course, don't bother.

I enjoyed playing at Red Wolf. The Greens were as good as any I have played this year. I like the senior tees for us old folgies. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back.
Enjoyable course for price

I am not by any means a pro golfer. I just like getting out there and have fun. I thought the course was one of the nicer ones I have played. I will b back again.
Best course for your money. Large fairways, but if you hit left or right, you will find the woods. Bunkers well maintained. Great staff!!
I would recommend this course to anyone. It is hidden behind a subdivision, so can be difficult to find for the first time. They have a sign on FM 2100 now that helps, but they don't advertise much, but that keeps the price down. They had $1 beer and hotdogs (best ever) on Tuesday and Thursday. I hope they keep that. Best kept secret!! I hate to tell everyone, but I want them to stay in business.
Vastly improved golf course
The course has greatly improved over the last year with fast greens, major improvements made to the course. The sand traps down to the ball washers are all in great shape. The carts are all new Yamaha and along with Golf Now specials available makes this a great deal for any golfer. To top all the other benefits of this course their offer of $1.00 beer and $1.00 hot dogs on Tues. & Thursday will keep me coming back every opportunity I have.
This course is convenient
I play Red Wolf Coarse from time to time because it is located fairly close to my home. I also find it very affordable for a recreational golfer like myself. This coarse has gone under a few changes in the past 5 years or so and recently for the better. The greens have been in very good shape which leads me to believe they put forth the effort to try and keep them watered and fertilized. The fairways are ok but could use alot more watering and fertilization maybe better grass. I am not a longer hitter so the 17th is a tough drive over water for me. It would be nice if the white tees were moved up closer to the water so I don't ruin my round from a hole I have difficulty crossing the water.
unprofessional staff and horrible course.
This has to be the worst course in all of Houston. You can not tell a fairway from the rough because it is all rough even in the middle of the "fairway." The staff is VERY unprofessional and combative. The greens are also like a cow pasture. I would NOT recommend this course to anyone.

Everyone was very nice and helpful, course was in good shape. They have done a good job in keeping the course maintained, it used to be awful.....keep up the good work!

This is always a great course to play. The course is in great shape and the staff is great.
It's a challenging course, but I don't feel like it's a place where I'm going to lose a dozen balls in the course of a round. There is the right amount of water and bunkers to make me think about what I'm doing and make it enjoyable
The course and surroundings are really beautiful and let me get away from it all.

THE COURSE FAIRWAYS AND GREENS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE.........BEING EXCEPTIONALLY WELL MAINTAINED. I WOULD NOT SAY THE COURSE IS REALLY DIFFICULT BUT RATHER THAT IT IS DEFINITELY CHALLENGING......AND SEEMINGLY LONG. NUMBER 9 IS DEFINITELY THE MOST DIFFICULT. THE STAFF IS TOP NOTCH....VERY FRIENDLY & HELPFUL. FOR THE COST/MONEY, I THINK IT IS THE BEST VALUE IN THE HOUSTON AREA! WILL DEFINITELY BE PLAYING IT AGAIN SOON.

After some problems with the greens earlier in the year the course has come around. The greens were in great shape and the price was right.
