Lake Travis Country Club

The greens are currently in great condition along with the fairways. It is worth the drive up the hill so you can enjoy great views from many holes. It is a challenging course and fun to play.

Course is in Lago Vista, fantastic views of Lake Travis.
Weather was beautiful, there was a 5 mph south breeze, temperature in the mid 60's. Course was in great shape, almost as green as Ireland ! Greens were true, had a wonderful round, cart comes with green fee. Fairway & greens !

I purchased a course map having never played this course before. 1st and 2nd holes were easy, straight fairways. The rest of the course was difficult so I relied on the map because the tee boxes had no information. It was inaccurate and all my shots were completely off. After the round I came to the clubhouse to ask what was the issue with the map. I was informed the map was incorrect with the 1st hole being the 10th and the 10th being the 1st. My entire round was a waste of time and very frustrating. No apologies from the staff or refund of even the map cost.

Greens and tee boxes were good. They are spending money to put in a better golf cart path on 1st and 3rd holes. So they are spending money in the right places to make a better course.

The course has a nice layout. Love the view. The fairways could have been taken care of. Greens were nice. Bunkers were horrible. This course could be awesome if $ was put in it. Deer on every hole.

First time playing, I didn't know what to expect. The course is very picturesque and moderately challenging. The par 3's play fairly easy but there are tricky par 4's and 5's including a par 4 dog leg right that plays uphill, making it feel longer than the yardage. You wrap up your round on a dog leg right, par 4 where you're shooting blind from the tee. Once you make the turn, a beautiful view of Lake Travis awaits you. A great way to wrap up a great round.

This course is in awful condition. Teeing ground is concrete, fairways are a weed fest, the greens.... The ants have almost taken over. There is no price that is low enough or pace of play that is fast enough to bring me back to this course..... Do not be fooled.

We've played this course a number of times. This outing was only the second time we've encountered a VERY unpleasant staff person. The cart person who works on Thursday and Saturday will keep us from returning to the course on these two days. He upset my golf partner so much, we left the course. Outside of his incredible rudeness, we love this course.

Last time i played this course was 3 years ago and it was in decent shape. Decided to go check it out this weekend because of cheap hotdeal but now i know why it was so cheap, course was is horrible shape. I felt like i wasn't even on a golf course and was playing golf in cow pastures. Course description says bermuda fairways but that's not true, it should say fairways made out of weeds and dirt. Tee boxes were also bad and super hard, could barely stick the tee in the ground.

Meet up with my college roommate for a round and had a good time playing HL. Hills, natural terrain, scenic views and outstanding layout make this course both challenging and fun to play. Some long par 3's await you here -along with really good par 4's for every golfer to enjoy. Course knowledge is a big help and setting up for your approach with the right angle is a must to score. Finished our round on a Friday in 3 hours….Outstanding golf and will take friends out to play when they come to town!

Nice course layout, greens and views were great, fast pace of play, friendly staff. While playing it was very enjoyable, as I sit and write this review it is a shame more money doesn't go into upkeep of the course. Tee boxes uneven and dead, fairways on some holes not kept up. A shack for a clubhouse. Someone please invest in this property. For the price it's perfect, but I would pay more because the course has so much more potential. I will play again

Love this course. The greens in excellent shape for the summer! Fairways not great but that is expected in summer here. Can be quite challenging from the gold tees with a lot of uphill or downhill fairway lies . Would be nice if they had a good place for drinks or food during and after the round but apparently there is some issue with hotel/restaurant that was going in. A player at course said city is getting sued over it. Stupid not to work something out because it would definitely help out the players and increase the number of rounds for the course. Overall though good value for the golf which is why I was there .

Fairways were beat up a little bit and on some holes non existent. Greens were in great shape and the views were amazing. An enjoyable round of golf. I would play this course again

Could be a great course because of the fun layout and elevation changes. However, it might be the most course in Texas. The fairways are mostly dried up dirt and native grass. Half of the tee boxes were too dry to put a tee in. A lot of backyard grass areas, too. I would recommend it for half the price it's listed at, at most. Friendly staff and good pace of play though.
