About
Formerly a private club, Windcrest Golf Club is now open for public play. This nine-hole course is tight in some spots with a traditional layout that calls for a variety of different shots. Tree-lined fairways and elevated greens protected by bunkers require sharp short game skills and accurate placement off the tees. Water hazards also come into play on two holes. With four sets of tees, the golf course is perfect for juniors and beginners who want some practice or avid golfers wanting a quick round. One of the most appealing things about Windcrest Golf Club is that it doesn't get especially crowded on weekends, meaning tee times are rarely required.

Great little course!
Played for first time on Saturday and I had a very nice time. It's an easy 9-hole course---great for honing-in on the short-game. only 1 par 5 hole, and several par 3s. Greens are well above average. I'll be back!
Never a dirty ball or cleat......
Windcrest is a great little 9 hole track squeezed into this middle of a neighborhood originally designed to be a private sanctuary for retirees, but as time proves all courses eventually have to open their doors to the public to survive. One thing for sure at Windcrest is you'll never tee up a dirty ball or suffer dirty cleats as there is a ball washer and cleat cleaner on every tee box. Long ballers such as myself will have a blast as holes are nearly drivable at just 325 yards or less and with only #9 as the only par 5. Still this course has a little bite as you'll need to hit the straight ball off every tee as it is tree lined down every fairway. All being said this is a great little track if you are short on time and like to play under 4 hours even with having to wait on the group in front of you and no hills so this is an easy walk.
A hidden gem in a big jewelry box...
Every time I play at Windcrest golf club I feel like I just tricked some one. I mean, for the money you cant find a better deal in town. The greens are always great, the course is trimmed and the atmosphere is super laid back. Most people out here are not in a rush and let you play through if you're a single, which will give you a total 18 hole time of 21/2 hours. Everything I like about golf and nothing I don't! Have to try Windcrest.... ps , Keep your driver in the bag until hole 9. Have fun!
Short game tuner
Didn't read reviews before playing, so was a little disappointed that it was only a 9 hole course. It is also a very short course with narrow tree lined fairways. The length makes it very tempting to shoot for the green each time, not the smartest move for me. Made better decisions the second time around, left the driver in the bag, and had much better results. The course was in really good condition; greens are green and roll true, and the fairways are plush. Doesn't feel like hitting off compact dirt. Great course for working on the short game. Unless you hit it straight leave the big boy in the bag.
Nice small course but very well designed
Nice course...it will make u forget that you are playing a nine hole course. Really enjoyed it and the staff were fairly nice.
the greens were well taken care of
i had no idea this course was only 9 holes until i finished up hole 9. i was riding around like a chicken with my head cut off. The greens are sharp and fast and thats about the only thing i can say positive about this course.
very friendly staff
staff is great, fairways are all narrow and just like the description says - very tight. you don't get a chance to use much of your clubs because of the set up. fairways and greens in excellent condition except for the leaves that are everywhere
Excellent 9-hole course
I played this course for the first time yesterday. It was a wonderful experience. It is a short 9-hole course lined with big mature trees in a quiet neighborhood. It has a private feel with many regulars playing. Fairways were pretty good and the greens were great. It is a narrow course but nothing ridiculous. This will be my go-to course for a nice relaxing day of golf. My only complaint is that the pro-shop/restaurant could use ALOT of work. Get whatever golf equipment you need before you go because they don't have much.
nice course, great staff, friendly golfers. Very nice Not to crowded.
We enjoyed playing Windcrest very much. The staff was very helpful. Fairways are narrow( a challenge ) ,greens well keep, and just enough hazards to make it interesting. Over all we had a very good time and can't wait to play again.
this course was great to play
this course was good. my sons and I had a great time we well go back and play at this golf course again.
played fast, nice little course
only 9 holes mix of par 3's and 4s with one par 5. you can play whites one round and blue next and its enough to mix it up. i played twice both under 2.5hrs. great deal with golfnow for money. i disagree with prior comment, the staff was very friendly.
You should play here!
I am new to golf and have just retired. I have played at Windcrest several times. I do like the course, to me it is a challenge and I look forward to more enjoyable games with my friends here.
