About
Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa sits along the banks of Lake Huron with Sarnia to the East and London just 45 minutes west. The course has a links-style layout that stretches to 6,782 yards from the back tees. Designed by Rene Muylaert, the creation of the golf course required over a million tons of earth to be moved to the site. It was then molded and shaped into rolling terrain that offers a tough but fair test. The namesake creek comes into play on 13 holes and there are also several strategically placed bunkers that lurk beside the greens. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing to the high handicapper. In addition to the golf course, Sawmill Creek also has a driving range available for warming up.

Course in excellent condition, and very challenging layout, with largest greens in Northern Ohio.
Beautiful afternoon with virtually no wind (which usually causes havoc along the shore of Lake Erie), and casual pace-of-play (nobody pushin' or holding our group, which consisted of 3 fairly good players & a novice wife). Sawmill is a tough course, and to avoid a 3putt on their huge greens could only help the score. Avoiding penalty/hazard strokes, especially on the "Hallway Hole" (#12 par5) is a test of golf. Have FUN, and great deals offered thru GolfNow.com.
Course was in excellent condition, greens were fast and true.
We've played Sawmill many times in the past 5 years because the course is always in excellent condition. Visually, it's not intimidating but requires accurate tee shots and staying below the hole to score. Greens roll true and are very puttable uphill but downhill putts are impossible to stop near the hole.
Resort Course w/ Resort Price
Very well maintained & challenging course. You must use the Golf Now discount price or this course will cost you around $80.00. We played for $35.00 using Golf Now. Playing at this price is a great deal for a resort type course. I would highly recommend playing here but, not at the regular price.
Great condition!!
Sawmill Creek is in great condition just like every year I play there. The greens rolled true and fast. Fairways were in great shape and the rough was cut fair. Good pace of play.

The golfnow price of $30 was a third of the walk up price. It was about the best course I ever played for $30.

One of the top courses on the North Coast. Challenging but fair.
I have played this course in the past and is always one of my must plays every year. A friendly and helpful staff always make the day enjoyable and the food in Muligans Pub is delicious. The course is always in great shape and the views of the lake and wildlife enhance the golfing experience.
For early season, the course is in relatively good shape, will return
A fair test for all, no unweildy lies and relatively open and enviting fairways. Being on the shore of Lake Erie makes for a windy round, adding to the challenge.

The course was in great shape, the weather was nice for early October, and the GolfNow rate was excellent. The course is challenging, especially the fast and sloped greens. Would do it again (at GolfNow price) in a minute.
Great course, friendly staff.
We got rained out on the day of our GolfNow reservation. No problem getting a raincheck and using it the following week even though the price we paid online was about 25% of the regular rate.
