Falling off steeply behind the green, the par-4 first hole may cause agony should you end up in this area (unless you pitch the ball like Matt Kuchar). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

Hitting the green at the third, a par-4 that runs 367 yards, is made more difficult by its elevated surface–sitting well above the fairway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

The magnificent sixth hole is both a beauty and a beast. It plays downhill off the tee, then straight uphill to this green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

Your tee shot at nine must traverse a pond to reach the perched green at this par-3 of 182 yards. A pair of swans graces the pond itself. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

Seen here in the late afternoon, this is the par-5 fifteenth. It is the longest three-shotter on the course at 554 yards. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2025

Check out that green! Photo submitted by bluechel on 09/23/2019
Great Mountain Course
Been playing here for a few years now. It’s my go to course in VT. No frills golf and great value for the price. Hole 8 is my favorite. Always a little tricky playing a blind dogleg. Greens are a little rough right now but that’s to be expected this time of year.
Course was in great shape. Aeration was done a few weeks ago and the greens are almost in mid-season form. You can’t beat some of the Mountain View’s on this course! The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
Awesome
What a great day of golf. We ate after the round and had another great experience!
Good Shape
The course was in pretty good shape for this time of year. Lots of walking with no carts on fairways. Greens recently aerated provided some putting challenges.
Course in great shape with an amazing staff
My golfing partner and I very much enjoy heading to Crotched. We have already played the course three times this season and should be back several more times this summer. No issues with the carts or on the course. Staff is super.
Good April golf
For the third week in April in VT the course was fairly dried out from the wet spring. Not a lot of roll but if I wanted roll I would have gone bowling. A nice outing nonetheless.
Always great
Course in great condition even beings it's so super early in Vermont to play. Everyone is so great from check-in to fellow golfers on the course.
had 8 piayers with tee times in advance for 18 holes called on sunday and played on tuesday traveled 75
we arrived to find out that they aerated the greens on the front 9day before and were aerating the back 9 that day and that we could only play the front 9 twice very disappointed group of golfers
September golf in VT
This round was vastly cooler than 3 weeks ago when temps were in the mid 90’s. Greens much firmer and quicker this time around. A good challenge to play.
Good mountain course
First time playing the course. I really enjoyed it. Greens were well kept and had some character to it.
First time play 8-13-21
Typical hilly Vermont course. Very well watered and well maintained for a public course. Spongey greens but roll pretty well. Par 3’s a good challenge.
Out of Town
This course is challenging. The greens are tricky. We played on a very hot day and coolers on course needed more water. Some areas were very wet and were not marked. Bunkers were full of sand flies or sand fleas. Overall, we had a nice experience
Super!
Great course in super condition from tee to green. Bring all your clubs many ways to it. People are great, a nice pub when your done and of course that great Vermont view and aura.
A Great Day on the Course
Once again we enjoyed a day at Crown Point. The course id in good shape. Some areas are roped off due to the heavy rains. Greens are in good shape, firm and fast.
If you are in the area give it a try.
Noooooo Carts
I booked and paid on GolfNow for myself, a friend, and our wives. It rained the night before and the rain was just ending as we arrived. When we got there we were told no carts today. Not cart path only, NO carts. My friend is recovering from knee surgery and the wives were not going to walk anyway since they had cart bags and the course was wet. We drove 35 minutes for nothing. We ended up going all the way back to Ludlow and playing there. They had carts out and didn't even have cart path only restrictions and they had the same rain storm. The course was not overly wet or muddy at all. I've heard good things about Crown Point but I didn't get to find out.
It’s inexpensive for a reason.
Drainage is a major problem on this course. Too many wet areas on the fairways and rough. Clubhouse and pro shop are basically non existent. Zero amenities.
Course layout is terrible. Signage is horrible. Cart paths, to the extent there are any, are in severe disrepair. Holes are dangerously close together. Almost hit by balls in flight twice. Really not good.
I’m upset that GolfNOW makes it seem the course is great. What a joke. Would not recommend to anyone.
