Hanover Golf Club

A nice course with a lot of character and a few steep uphill or downhill fairways. Course was in average condition, but expected for April golf. I'll go back for sure.

I definitely see why the scoring differential is so high! There are some very tough holes that require accurate drives and approach shots (#4 requires both). There are also some pretty good elevation changes, which makes getting a cart a must and make for both fun (#9 - goes a mile) and head-scratching (#6 - straight uphill) tee shots. Back 9 is a little easier than the front, with not as much variety.

Staff was one of the friendliest I've ever encountered! Course was not in great shape compared to others in the area, but it's still worth the Hot Deal price I found on GolfNow. I would play there again.

Great experience as I just needed a winter round. They fixed my poor use of online tee time.

Awesome challenging course. Rough is a bit heavy but not nearly as bad as it seems. Great elevation and course layout.

The course overall is in great condition especially compared to others in the area.

Only complaint I would have is the rough is so thick that it’s almost impossible to find a ball unless you’re standing right over it. So much time wasted and balls lost having a comb over a 4-5 foot area. Need to cut the rough a little shorter...

Teal, please cut the rough down a little bit. It's not a good thing when you are losing balls just off the Fairway as I did several times today!

Good course, leaves were a problem. But over all. Good round of golf.

Bermuda rough was very high, greens were hairy and uncut, fairways were uncut, overall condition was okay for the season. Your ball could be 10 feet off the fairway and you couldn’t find your ball - even around the greens. For a semi-private course we were disappointed to make the drive. Hanover CC once was a very nice course - now average at best. There are other courses in the area that are in better shape and are more enjoyable to play.

great course, but if you did not hit the fairway, could not find your ball unless you stepped on it! probably be fine after they cut it. I imagine they seeded and fertilized so they can't cut yet!

This is a beautiful course, but the rough is cut so high it’s almost impossible to find any ball you hit in it. It makes it extremely frustrating and the joy of the game is lost pretty quick when you think you hit pretty good shots and balls just disappear like it’s the Bermuda Triangle. When you can’t even find a mishit you shanked 10 yards in front of you, you know it’s time to call it a day and find another course. Probably won’t ever return.
