Overpriced Muni

It's just an overpriced muni. They don't even send you out with tees in your cart. It's pretty pathetic. Everything there is overpriced, not just the golf.. The only redeeming factor with this course is the course condition, which is good. Greens are a bit furry, but not too bad. I do see why a lot of golfers like the place. The course is so short that they can feel like they're hitting the ball farther than they are. I was outdriving the guy in my group with an 8 iron. It was a little silly. Anyway, if you're a short hitter and you want to feel like a legit golfer, or you have a score goal that yoiu just can't seem to hit, play this course. You'll probably score a few strokes better than you normally do and you'll feel like you have better approach distances. Everybody else should avoid this place. Overpriced course and concessions, no warm up balls, mat driving range(the range is completely pathetic), horrendous pace of play, it's just not worth spending your money on. Pay a few extra bucks and go to Stonewall. He ll, even Reston National would be preferrable to this place, and I'm no fan of Reston National.

Herndon Centennial is a nice course at a great price in NOVA

Played the course in June 2024, it’s in great shape this year. The staff is helpful and the on course restaurant Egg Karen is legit one of the best because it offers more than the usual golf course options - highly recommend the chicken and ube waffles.

Worth the money to play

Enjoyed this 71 par course. I’m still fine tuning my game and it helps with that.

Nice Course

I would rate it between 3.5 and 4.0.

Nice fun course. Good condition. Definitely opportunity to score! I’m from Jersey and this is only the second course near Tysons that I’ve played (Twin Lakes is the other one)…and wow, you have to hit the fairway or good luck finding your ball in the first cut rough.

Slow play

Pro sends multiple 9 hole groups off the back right before first tee times are making the turn which sends everything to a grinding halt. They should limit back nine tee time to one hour after first tee time to keep up pace of play and not punish players that are out early.

Bare bones

Seriously, this is bare bones. The only thing you get for your money is the use of the course. No warmup balls, no water. He ll, they don’t even provide tees.

First time wasn’t good

The pace of play wasn’t bad up until about hole 8 or 9. We finished the front in 2 hours. Once we hit the back 9 there was a huge backup and we had 4 groups waiting at the 12 tee box. Multiple people called the pro shop to let staff know and no one came out to do anything about it. There was one group of degenerates playing ahead and they were holding up everyone. They had no respect for anyone else playing behind them and management did nothing to fix it. Probably won’t be back for a while.

Herndon Centennial

Nice course for the money. Finished in less than 4 hours. Pace of play is typically a problem on the weekends.

Good value but crawling pace of play

The course is in really good shape. It’s short but the layout and thick rough provide good defense. Well priced relative to other courses of similar quality in the area. Pace of play is RIDICULOUSLY SLOW. Be prepared to play a 5 to 5.5 hour round. The course needs to get a couple rangers out there to improve pace, because many of the people who play there are apparently not aware of proper pace of play.

US Open rough

Had a great time. Course was in fine condition but the rough was really thick. Anything off the fairway was hard to find and very tough to make contact. Keep it on the short grass.

Good course to feel good about yourself

Not a lot of trouble, not very long, several wood and wedge holes, greens in great shape. Might be better value paying a little more for something more challenging, but was an overall enjoyable early season round
