Herndon Centennial Golf Course

Rough was patchy with bare spots interspersed with big clumps of grass. Tee boxes had large, dead, bare areas. Fairways were patchy with long grass. Greens had dead areas and were bumpy due to no one repairing their ball marks.

The only issue on a perfect weather day was the pace of play. 4 hours and 40 minutes for a round of golf on a Tuesday afternoon is tool long.

Disappointing greens- to many ball marks not repaired-

Not fancy, I have seen MUCH worse for a muni. $62 a bit much. Short course (had to play from the tips). Fairways were okay, wide open. Bunkers looked good, had sand. The greens were slow, can be aggressive, not much undulation. Would need to be around $40 for me to play there again. (Had fun, first time shooting even par in a while).

Great value for the money. Overall great experience - definitely playing this course again.

If you are looking to practice your irons / woods / hybrids, this is a good course. I did not hit my driver once and shot a 90 and I am 18 hcp. The pace of play starting at 1PM was great, we were done in a little over 3 hrs. I might just have been this day.

The tee boxes need a lot of work.. but I would definitely play here again.

The morning starter was a nice guy. After our round we pulled up, were throwing our trash away, and an angry old man came over, raised his voice at us, and demanded we hurry up - they needed the carts. We had just pulled in 1 minute prior. Had he asked nicely - no issues. My husband said there’s no need to talk to us like that, and the old man said he didn’t need our business. We aren’t coming back so long as he works there.

charging for a small cup of ICE 82 cents is ridiculous.

I love this course. Because I break first udder 90. I will come back again. Surely

Love playing this course despite the humid hot weather. Fairways and greens were nice, hope players fix their divot marks on greens. Tee boxes do need some TLC. Overall, I would like to comeback and play. One more kudos, to folks managing the course, I want to state that Herndon has the best looking condition and well kept putting green in any public golf course around NOVA.

This is a wonderful course. I always enjoyed playing here. They should make more like this.

The fairways and greens are in great shape. Bunkers could use a little more sand. Staff has always been great!
