About
Hollows Golf Club is situated in historic Hanover County, birthplace of Patrick Henry. The club boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are considered the best value in the area since the greens fess are good for the whole day, allowing you to try every hole if you wanted to. The holes are divided into three nines: Cottage, Lake, and Road, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The unique layouts of all three offer enough variety to appeal to players of all skill levels. The Lake/Road combination naturally features plenty of water on the front nine. The Lake nine is routed around a large lake as well as a few small ponds. The back nine, Road, is the longest of the three nines, but only by about 100 yards. There is no water but there are some tricky doglegs and strategically placed bunkers.

Great value!
Courses are in great shape given the amount of play.
Great place to work on game.
Driving range, not so much.
Very good golf course.
I’ve been going to The Hollows Golf Course for 3 years about every week when the weather is good. I’m not a great Golfer but I enjoy it. In my opinion, this course is very forgiving.
Fun, challenging, unpretentious
Hollows won’t be mentioned in lists of great Virginia courses, but it’s a solid affordable option but golfers aren’t too uptight about perfect conditions. Easy to book on Golfnow, easy to check in online, fun holes and a good little bar for libations. That all most of us want!
Road Course
We only played the first nine (road course). The fairways and greens were in great shape. The greens rolled true. The sand bunkers were also well maintained. The course is pretty forgiving so it gives you some room for an errant drive.
First time golfer, will be back
Greens were in excellent condition, had a blast and was a fun course
