Cypress Creek Golfers' Club
About
Cypress Creek Golfers' Club was carefully carved from the mature hardwood forests and centuries old peanut fields of Smithfield. The peacefully secluded setting is the ideal environment for a round of golf and the challenging design will have you using every club in your bag. The golf course will reward creative shot-making and thoughtful strategy but it is not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The rolling terrain provides plenty of challenging ups and downs throughout and there are many water holes, including the memorable ninth, a short par 4 with an island green. Cypress Creek Golfers' Club even has its own "amen corner" that starts with the par-4 15th, moves on to the waterlogged 16th, and finishes with another par 4, an uphill hole that is the toughest of the trio.

always a good place to play: great scenery, stong layout, well maintained
greens have knitted well from last months aeration. fairways in good shape, as usual!
Nicely maintained course
No matter when I play this course its well-maintained. Good mix of easy and moderate holes.
Great course and staff!
Great course and staff! Well maintained and somewhat challenging. Will definitely play again very soon!
Great layout you should play
Worth the drive out to Smithfield. Easy holes are followed by good challenges. Number nine may drive you a little crazy. Make sure you look at the layout before teeing off. 15- 17 have some great river views. Have fun
Awesome lay out
A friend and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to play for so cheap. Cypress creek had one of the best layouts in the entire area with scenic views and wide fairways. The greens were great except for several that were a little wore out from folders refusing to correctly fix ballmarks. On the whole great bang for your buck and I would play it anytime I can find a cheap deal. Thank you cypress creek
Great Course!
Great course that presents a real challenge from the Blue Tees and a BEAST from the back tees...Bring your game because this course is ready for it!
This course was one of the better courses which I have played while in Virginia.
This was my first time playing the course and would recommend other to play the course. Nice layout and golfer friendly.
Great practice sand bunkers
One of the best courses I've played on this year. The putting greens were in excellent condition and challenging .
Great Track
Great layout and good pace of play. Friendly staff. Will play again.
Great Course ...
Course in Great Shape ... Fun, but Challenging ... Will Play Again ...
Excellant set-up with challenging par 3's and 5's.
Very nice set-up. Staff was friendly. The snack bar staff was also friendly and made a great cheese Berger. The course played great. A couple of tee boxes on the back nine could use some love but had a great day of golf at a wonderful course. Would have given a 5 star but for those tee boxes.
Thoroughly enjoyed my 1st time playing here...will be back!
Golf Now provided me with an excellent incentive to play Cypress Creek at a discounted rate, especially being a recently-furloughed government employee (on my "day off"). Cypress Creek offered some challenges I've not come up against during my short career (e.g., 570-600yd par 5 on hole 4)...what!!! Didn't play the course as well as I'd have liked but I'll be ready next time! Great Staff, as well as scenic course layout.
Fun day at Cypress Creek
The course is very well kept. Greens were sprayed.
Our group enjoyed our round and we look forward to going back.
Great Course and one of my favorites
The Greens were horribly slow unlike years past. The price was good. The fairways were in good shape. The greens, however, were beat up. For every 10 to 12 ft putt I had to fix at least 3 ball marks. Every put I saw my foursome hit bounced like a basket ball and the greens speed reminded me of the Smithfield downs days. There is a great course there but these guys need not get comfortable take pride in your course and work on your greens, firm them up!
The course is as I remember it from a few years back, a good challenge.
Golf Now price was a steal! The course was in great shape, pace of play was not an issue, played with my wife and she was also happy(not overwhelmed). Would recommend this course to golfers of all levels.

The Cypress Creek Golf is my local favorite. The course is laid out to take the golfer in two big loops around lakes and marsh area's. The course is challenging to all levels of players and is beautiful to enjoy. The rate of play is faster than most courses and you don't feel like you are "on top" of others playing adjacent holes. With the special deals you can find on Golf Now it is very affordable.
Fantastic Golf Course
Cyprus Creek is a semi-private course. I rank if very high in play-ability and beauty (especially back-nine). I love the variety of holes and how quiet it is, overall. The cart paths are hidden behind mounds in landing areas which adds to the beauty of the layout. CC is normally in great condition with pristine/soft fairways and good greens. Have played it many times and keep coming back for more! One of the best courses in the area.
Good course/helpful staff;
Course is both playable and challenging for average golfer. It's in very good condition. Assistant pro is friendly and very helpful.
OPEN FAIRWAYS,SOME ROUGH,LOVE AMEN CORNER
STARTS WITH TWO EASY PAR-4'S,THEN A LONG DOGLEG RIGHT PAR 4.WATER ON RIGHT OF #4.#9 IS SHORT WITH STEEP GREEN(GREEN IS IN ROUGH SHAPE).BACK NINE IS ORDINARY UNTIL 15 THRU 17.SWING AWAY ON 18.
A must play in Hampton Roads
Cypress Creek is great. Fairly typical new course style with huge fairways and big greens. The black, blue and white tees give three very different views of the course and really do suit different skill levels. Course has a nice mix of long and short par 4s: 1, 9, 10 are all short fun holes but 3, 12 and 17 are monsters. All par 3s are reasonable distance....I can't stand 200+ yard par 3s. 3 of the 4 par 5s are reachable in two.
Course is in great shape, particularly for the money. I also play a lot in Williamsburg and CC in equal if not better shape than all those courses (except obviously Golden Horseshoe Gold Course and Kingsmill River Course).
Pace of play is always good.
The pro shop has a lot of Ping and TItleist woods/hybrids that they sell at really good prices.
Nice place and it's really not that far from anywhere in Hampton Roads.
