About
Cypress Creek Golfers' Club was carefully carved from the mature hardwood forests and centuries old peanut fields of Smithfield. The peacefully secluded setting is the ideal environment for a round of golf and the challenging design will have you using every club in your bag. The golf course will reward creative shot-making and thoughtful strategy but it is not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The rolling terrain provides plenty of challenging ups and downs throughout and there are many water holes, including the memorable ninth, a short par 4 with an island green. Cypress Creek Golfers' Club even has its own "amen corner" that starts with the par-4 15th, moves on to the waterlogged 16th, and finishes with another par 4, an uphill hole that is the toughest of the trio.

Greens looked great!
Overall the course played great, the course was recently aerated which was a minor setback.
Golf now deal excellent
The course was very good conditions besides the green, which were being aerated. Even so I thought they still rolled pretty well. For the price this golf course was the best I have gotten so far. And I would definitely go back

excellent course
my first time to play this course. very well maintained and i enjoyed it very much except for the mayflies from 14 to 17.
Greens need work
This course has a rather unique layout for this area, but they had recently aerated the greens, but didn't have any signs up or any notification of such. Also, possibly the slowest snack bar in Hampton Roads
Great warm up for Myrtle Beach, same calibre of course.
Course in Great shape, enjoyed the rolling scenic fairways. It is always a challenge and excellent outing playing Cyrpess Creek.
It is my Grandsons favorite course in our area so we play there quite often. We feel like we are on a Pro-course when playing there know it will prepare us for our upcomming trip to M Beach.

This course will test your medal if conditions are windy.
The course was in excellent condition. Putting and chipping area had sufficient range balls for pratice prior to playing. The course layout was challenging but not to overwhelming. Third trip on this track and I'm sure to return with the great deals offered through GolfNow.
Awesome Course
Cypress Creek was a great course, great conditions, awesome hole layout, just it was quite the drive from Virginia Beach but for the great deal we got with GolfNow, it was well worth it!!!
Mostly open. Challenging greens.
Course was in decent shape for this time of year. It was a little slow but it was Sunday and windy. Overall, decent round of golf.

Truly enjoyable course.
I recommend buying the $4 yardage book at the clubhouse if you don't have a range finder. Wish i had seen it before i started my round instead of after. In spite of my play i still managed to have a wonderful time. Greens were in great condition and fairways were what you expect for this time of year. The layout and course were memorable and enjoyable. If you've heard good things about this course it's all true!!!
Fine design, good conditions
If you can get a discount rate on Golf Now, this course is worth the trip to Smithfield. Though the day didn't start well with a somewhat surly staff, the course conditions were very good for November and the Ault/Strange design is interesting visually and just the right degree of challenge if you pick your tee boxes correctly. Greens were in fine shape, quite fast and smooth though a couple holes had placements that were almost impossible - #2 set in the middle of a kind of ridge you'd find on a putt-putt course and #9 so much slope that it was virtually impossible to keep a downhill putt on the green. Other than that (and try to keep the ball below the hole in general on this course) it was very fun on a somewhat blustery day - 15, 16, &17 is a challenging closing stretch with the reachable 18th sort of a reward for surviving those.
Natural beauty is unmatched in Tidewater!
Playing a round of golf at Cyprus Creek is just a pleasure. The course is always in great shape, the staff is friendly and the pace of play is the best in the area. The course has the most beautiful scenery in Hampton Roads. The holes run through lakes, rivers and tree lined fairways. The views of the surrounding fields and large homes are exquisite. All the holes are separated. Very relaxing. There are 5 tee sets for every level of player. The bent greens are large and a perfect speed with just the right undulation. Fairways are generous and the perfect Bermuda lies are the best around. Rough is just right. Many challenging shots await you. It's a great place to play for every skill level. Take a trip out to Smithfield! Cyprus Creek is the best kept secret in Tidewater!!
always a treat
course is always in good to very good shape. this time, fairways were excellent and greens were 'mending' well from recent aeration (notification of aeration clear & provided in advance!). sand traps were unkempt, but this is more the fault of inconsiderate golfers than course maintenance. club house folks cordial, snack bar girls very friendly/good service. will play here again soon
