Hobbs Hole Golf Course

A great day to play golf at Hobbs Hole Golf Course. Course is in very good condition after surviving a very harsh winter. Get out and play.

Course is always in good shape ! I play there a couple times a month throughout the year.

I've been playing this course many times and it has never disappointed me. The pro shop staff is always a pleasure to deal with along with the maintenance crew with the pass winter they had my hats off to all of Hobbs Family the course conditions are outstanding.

Good looking course nestled in a beautiful area of Virginia. Price is decent and the course layout is the right amount of challenge.

Pace of play was very good. Most greens were great, there are a few with small issues but you can tell they are fixing them. Not great for the short range lady that I am. The food at the resturant was good but service was very slow. I would play here again.

Hobbs Hole is a friendly and very nice place. They take care of the place very well. Even the rough is very playable here. I saw saw some complaints from others about the greens. They were bad, just a little rough around the edges. Consider the summer with little rain. Other courses are currently seeing much worse conditions. The design of the course is also very nice. This is a solid public course, and among the best that I have seen. 100% will be back, even though it is 2 hours away!

Very slow do to five players allowed to play together. Also greens were subpar.

Awesome, the best fairways around on the east coast. There was about 5 to 7 greens that had bad spots on them. Every course is dealing with the weather right now..I'm a member at White Plains Golf ⛳️ Course in white plains MD.R course is in great shape to but your fairways r Awesome. Overall ill give the course a 5 out of 5.

Hobbs is great. Always is. Plain a simple. Greens are suffering from summer heat, but they will bring them around

Really enjoy this course and layout, but the greens were absolutely atrocious. It's been years since I have seen such bad greens.

I normally would say yes to recommending this course, however with the greens as they currently are, it's a hard NO.

Hobbs Hole still provides a very good golf experience. It is well laid out and has forgiving wide fairways. It is rarely crowded and my round was finished in 2 hours 45 minutes. The fairways are immaculate. The rough is fairly high but consistently fair.The greens are what protects this course and are typically fast. That being said the climate has not been generous this summer and a few of the greens have significant grass loss in patches. This is the first season that I've seen this since I started playing this course. Also the tee boxes are pretty rough right now. I'm not surprised as these problems are similar to my regular course that is in the same geographic area. Also it would be great if there was more water on the course or a beverage cart. We're in a 90 degree summer and golfers need to keep hydrated.

I live in Fredericksburg and for the last 3-4 years I have gladly made the 50 minute drive to Hobbs Hole because of the great course conditions for the money. The greens today were atrocious. Putting on dirt half the time. Sad!

At $50 (weekday price through GolfPass), Hobbs Hole is a pretty good value. The greens are almost always in very good condition, although they have suffered just a tiny bit lately from the torrential rains and heat. The fairways, though? Immaculate. Seriously, some of the best I've played on the last two years (well, when I actually find myself in the fairway). The rough was very challenging this time around (lost two balls that weren't that far off line) but again, it's probably been pretty difficult to mow with the recent wet weather. This isn't a maintenance issue, it's an issue of me needing to find the fairway more often.
