Hobbs Hole Golf Course

Always fun to play...great staff, course was in great shape for this time of the year. Greens were smooth and fast, fairways were dormant, but highly playable. Highly recommend this challenging, but fun, course

My playing partner and I manage to get to play Hobbs Hole 3-5 times a year. We look forward to it. The course is always in great shape. Today, the greens were immaculate and rolling fast. The fairways and tee boxes are going dormant, but were extremely playable. This course may be one of the best "off-season" courses in this area. And, Troy and his staff are always available to make your golfing experience the best it can possibly be. I highly recommend this course.

Course was in great shape. We were able to actually insert tees into the ground at the tee boxes with very very little pressure at all 18 holes. We've never experienced that before. Greens were in great shape as were the fairways, Quite a few sand traps (and I found a few) but not many other hazards at all. Nice wide fairways with not a lot of trees so it would be difficult to lose balls. This is a course we will play again if we make it back this way in our travels.

Hobbs Hole continues to be a wonderful golf course. Greens were in great shape. I would have liked them a bit faster but they were very nice. Fairways were full and carpet like. Bunkers need a little work and golfers need to rake after themselves. Pace got really slow over the last 4-5 holes, painfully. Bar and restaurant never fail to provide good service and food. BBQ , tots and a beer provided a fitting end to the day. Good practice facility. A place worth the drive.

Excellent layout, great condition, and friendly staff. Nice clubhouse and range also.

I love playing at this course.......it is my favorite course! I play here at least 2-3 times a month and I love it! The course is always in immaculate condition and the staff is always amazing...their service the the BEST of the BEST of the VERY BEST EVER! Troy Thorne, the Golf Pro does and awesome job managing this course and if y9ou need lessons....Troy is your answer, he will fix your game in a mater of minutes! The restaurant is amazing too... the food is always great and our server is always Nancy, we request her because she is awesome!

Staff friendly, members friendly, greens in great shape, practice facility in great shape. Course is in a very quiet area so it was a refreshing round. Will return. Pace of play was right at 4 hours, which is great for semiprivate!

Good conditions but no Marshall to monitor slow play . Otherwise, good.

Greens were in good shape, but slow. Fairways were in reasonable shape. Tees were awful.

This golf course is immaculate! The fairway is like carpet and the greens are the best I’ve ever played on! This course is absolutely beautiful! My brother and I play here frequently because this is our favorite golf course and is the best in Virginia to play at…. Check out their Awesome reviews they speak for themselves! I always look forward to a round of golf at this course because Troy Thorne, the golf pro here is absolutely wonderful! The lessons he gives are the best and honestly if you need a good golf pro to give you lessons it would be Troy!I Troy and all of his staff at this golf shop is amazing including Calvin who has been here for years and everyone else is so friendly. They are amazing and the best ever when it comes to service! I also wanted to mention the restaurant…. We love this restaurant and I must tell you that Nancy is always there when we play at this course, she is so nice and always goes above and beyond for everyone that comes into the restaurant! Her service with a smile along with the awesome food is a real plus for this golf course as well we love the restaurant and the golf course! Thank you to Troy and his team and the restaurant staff… for doing an awesome job and always being there to make sure your customers are happy! We look forward to seeing you again real soon! Hobbs Hole GC always guarantees a good time. The course was in very good condition, considering the amount of rain over the past week. Greens & fairways are in excellent shape. Bunker could use some TLC, but rain was the culprit there. The staff is always friendly and make you feel at home. Always enjoy playing there and will certainly return, even though it is a 1 1/2 hour drive. Worth the effort
