Hobbs Hole Golf Course

The course was very wet due to the rain the past couple days, but it is still playing great.

You will absolutely love the setup and the beautiful greens.

Course was well worth the hour plus drive. The only thing that our foursome of average golfers found to take the fun of the round, was the speed and general difficulty of the greens.

First time playing Hobbs Hole today. Great course with a terrific layout. Challenging for good golfers but fair enough for anyone to play. Course held up well from 6+ inches of rain this week. All in all, an absolute delight.

Good course but some of the hole were awkward. The green from one hole back to another. If you hit it wrong your ball can fly to the other green or impede on the play of others. There was no cart person.

Good course for the money for sure. Nice greens, in good shape. Pace can be slow as they do get busy. I’ll be back again for sure.

Course was in extremely good condition, and greens were amazing. The area had 5.5 inches of rain during the week, so cart path only on holes 1-5, 2 holes of which are par 3's. Overall, this is the best course to play for enjoyment of golf in the area. I only wish I lived closer.

Great layout for both beginners and “experts”, well maintained, greens were fast and rolled true.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Definitely will play again when I’m back in VA.

I’ve played here for a few years and Troy and the rest of their staff have been extremely helpful and welcoming. The course itself is very well maintained year-round and has been in tip-top shape every time I’ve played there. I would definitely recommend Hobbs Hole to anyone who is considering trying the course out.

The greens were hit and miss on patchy areas, the fairways were in great shape. The pace of play was a little slow on the tough holes. Make sure you have something to drink because there still aren’t any water coolers on the course due to Covid 19.

First time playing Hobbs Hole and will play again. The course is in excellent shape, particularly given the rain, heat and humidity thay we have had this summer. The course is fun to play and very fair. Also, its mix of tee boxes makes for some fun opportunities to play holes from different perspectives.
