Hobbs Hole Golf Course

I just had another wonderful golf outing at Hobbs Hole! This is honestly the best course in Virginia! The staff here is amazing and the golf pro Troy gives the best lessons ever; so if you ever need help with your game he’s the person to go to! The golf course is always in immaculate condition even in the winter! The greens are perfect and honestly every time my brother and I visit this course we have the most wonderful golf outing ever! If you’ve never played here you really need to and be sure and connect with Troy, the golf pro because he is honestly the best ever! We love the restaurant too....the food is really good there and the staff is amazing as well! Thanks again to Troy and his team.... Calvin and Jef they are also wonderful! and I cannot forget the fully stocked golf pro shop…… They have everything you need! Thank you Hobbs Hole.....I drive an hour and a half away to play at your golf course and it’s worth every minute of it! Thanks again for being so amazing!

Course was in excellent condition even though it had rained yesterday. Will definitely be back again soon!

Great golf course…… One of the best in Virginia!

this is one of the best courses in Virginia honestly! The greens are always immaculate the fairway is awesome even during the winter! Andy the owner of this golf course has done such a great job since he has owned this golf course for several years! How men his team are absolutely wonderful and this includes Patrick, Jerome, Bob, Jerry, and the list goes on and on everyone here is absolutely wonderful and like I said the course is absolutely beautiful! I play here every chance I get because it is so awesome! My brother Max and I play here all the time and we absolutely love it! Martha (Janie)

The best golf course in Virginia by far!!

My brother and I play at this golf course anytime we have an opportunity and I must say it is the best golf course in Virginia! The staff which is Troy the golf pro and Jeff and Calvin and everyone else that works at this golf course is amazing! Not to mention how immaculate and beautiful the golf course is! The greens are super nice and the fairway is in tiptop condition always even in the winter! I highly recommend you playing at this golf course if you haven’t as of yet! I was asked to again review this course for a second time for some reason. I frequently golf at Hobbs Hole. It is a somewhat challenging but extremely fun course to play. The personnel in the pro shop treat you like family and always make you feel welcome. Taking into consideration the foul weather which preceeded our round the golf course was in much better playing condition that I first thought it would be upon booking a t time. I have never been disappointed in the speed of their well maintained greens.

You do not realize how good it makes you feel when the pro knows you by first name and not"sir". That means a lot to me. I have golfed here numerous time and have always enjoyed each and every round of golf. The greens were in pristeen condition and with regards to the recent heavy rains and snow the fairways were relatively dry. If Hobbs Hole was just a bit closer I would golf there the majority of the time.

Played with three friends today- one of whom did not buy the hot deal. Turns out he paid less than the rest of us. Call the clubhouse for winter rates before buying through GolfNow.

Despite winter weather and some snow yesterday, course was in good shape and greens rolled well.

Green was very fast. Overall condition good. Not challenging for us.

Always enjoy Hobbs Hole, started on back 9 due to frost. Only 1-5, front on cart path, course is starting to get roll and the wet areas are getting smaller. Greens are in nice shape and rolling well. Bunkers are improving. Played with a couple of new members who came over from Mattaponi who had already played the front. Good pace on first nine, the twosome left and I was able to join a couple that was behind me. Pace slowed way down on 2nd nine partially due to 1-5 cart path but also strange mix of groups, 4-somes ahead of single ahead of two ahead of us. This turned into more than one group waiting on tee. Still enjoyable overall but one of my favorite places for 19th hole drink and food was closed by the time I got in at 4:05

The bad 1st, the driving range was closed for maintenance. I assume it is for the rain that never seems to stop. conditions were much better than I thought they would be. Cart path only for 1-5 and those only looked bad in spots. The course was in good shape and the greens were rolling well. There were some wet areas here and there to be avoided but pretty good considering other courses such as Ford's Marsh Hawk have been virtually unplayable for weeks. We started on the back 9 because it probably de-frosts earlier. There were a lot of ice filled puddles still but overall pretty darn good. Pace of play slowed down on the 2nd (front) nine due mostly to a five-some that was causing some minor delays pace. Stopped in after for a couple of adult beverages and the ribeye sandwich, WoW. Always good food and folks are great there.

Hobbs Hole has and will always be one of my favorite courses to play. The greens this time around were surprisingly quick and in great shape for the amount of rain we had recently and over the last few weeks. Tee boxes were in good shape. Fairways were great and pace of play was faster than any course in Richmond. I live an hour away and can’t wait to come back. If you like “friendly” tee shots and great greens it’s a course for you.

The course was very wet due to the rain the past couple days, but it is still playing great.

You will absolutely love the setup and the beautiful greens.

Course was well worth the hour plus drive. The only thing that our foursome of average golfers found to take the fun of the round, was the speed and general difficulty of the greens.
