Bidwell Park Golf Course

Fun course to play in Chico. Staff was great.

Course offers a variety of holes and some challenging multi-tiered greens.

The course is looking better including the greens. Pace was better. Staff was helpful and nice. Cole is great.

They have to many rookies playing in one group & on top of it they are acting like they are playing in a PGA tournament. They hgot to hit the ball & goes 10 ft. It was the worst experience since I been golfing. We paid for 18 & left after 9 holes due to how slow the play is. I'm goid waiting 20 min to hit my next shot. The course itself is good. They really need a Marshall on this course to speed tup these horrible players.

Wow, our twosome teed off around 1230 and finished at 4pm. This was the fastest paced round we ever played at Bidwell. The course was in really good condition except the tee boxes needed a little work. Hopefully in the future, all rounds will be played in less than four hours.

Cole checked us in and was very nice. Slow play on the front 9 and better on the back.

Bidwell has always been a challenging course but the conditions of the course itself was not the reason for it being tough. It was the layout which is how a course should be. Nowadays the condition of the course makes me think twice about playing here. Rock hard fairways, unkept tee boxes, and stupid pin locations make this beautiful course Uber frustrating. Add to that a cranky staff and a lack of management of rate of play and you have a recipe for disaster. $60 to play here seems like a rip off compared to $60 at other places. Bidwell management needs to be better.

Terribly slow play and no Marshall help. Had a group in front of us for 9 holes that would sit on the tee box and not hit until the group in front was by or on the green. Not worth the money for a frustrating slow round. Don't expect a warm reception in the pro shop either. Customer service is not their Forte. They act like they just don't care.

The course has no driving range. Possibly because it is too hot out there. I cant imagine playing this course in the middle of summer.

Course was in good condition, as noted, greens are slick! Made a prior tee time for group of 3 on Golf Now app for $33 per person and added a player after the initial booking to make a foursome. When our added player checked in they charged him $63 for 18 holes to join our group. Got out on the course, hot and windy, no water on the course and we all got very dehydrated. Destination pricing for a community course? Not what we expected. Be careful when adding players using the GN app at this venue.

My groomsmen’s and I went to play, had a great time and we were all impressed with the staff our first time playing there. Course was in decent shape, and the greens were well done. Very excited to come back and play!

Played behind 2 groups with little children playing. It was going to be a 5 hour round and I quit. No Marshall out there keeping track of things and moving things along. Better off going to Rolling hills and paying about the same price for a much better course.

Drainage after rainy days was good on most holes but was cart path only on whole course. Not necessary. Greens were fast despite rain 2 days before.

Bidwell's greens are great right now. They have really improved. The pace of play was very slow due to it being the only public18 hole course in town. No competition, so it seems that there is no incentive for good customer service. I wish that the two private courses in town were more affordable. This would create more competition and more players would join.

Seems dry enough to mow but it has not been mowed since rains stopped 3 weeks ago.

Pace was ridiculously slow with many walkers. no marshalls, either.

Good condition following a few days of rain. Only 2 holes needed to be cart path only but all holes were cpo. I saw no puddles except for spots along the cart path. Greens were rolling almost as well as when dry. No marshalls were seen.

Fun time out on Bidwell Golf Course : ) thankful for the chance to be out on a great course with my dad. We were paired together with another two-some, and had a golly good time. The greens were fast, and a few of the holes’ greens were virtually unnameable unless one was coming from a particular direction. Other than the greens, great course!
