Best course in the South end!
The Auburn Golf Course is not only the best course in the area, the greens will become known as the best in the region. It continues to improve week to week. The round today took 3 hours & 10 minutes. The tee time was early in the morning. Try it, you'll like it!!!
Invited friend to play but delays at several holes.
Invited a friend to join me after I played the week prior. The course was as expected until we started get held up at tee boxes some times with two groups waiting ahead of us. We wer told there were some 5 somes ahead of us but didn't see them. The delays kind of spoiled an expected good time at the course,
5 hour round
We played at 1pm on a tuesday and we were surrounded by fivesomes. We checked with the Marshall and he said the course allows this, so I guess the Marshall's are only out on the course to console players as they wait for every shot. The greens were actually in good shape, they rolled true and had some pace. The fairways were not up to par though.
Not at work
What a great day on the course and not at work. The course is in good shape and the day was hot. Greens ran fast so my putting was a bit off but better fast then bumpy. Auburn is a good course and the staff is great but it is not really a walk-able course if you want to keep up with the pace of play. Thanks to Golf Now and Auburn GC keep up the Hot deals.
Good public course!
Auburn Golf Course is a good public course that is in great shape! I recommend it for everyone!
Disappointed
We have played this course twice. Both times the pace of play was ridiculous. Yesterday’s round, the starter or check in desk allowed a fifth player shesd of our threesome. We complained st the turn and were told they are good players and should not slow us down. Wrong, we caught them on the second hole of back nine and had to wait st each tee box. Called again after playing the sixth hole of none and the desk said the Marshall would be sent out. The Marshall just drove around and did nothing?
Course in great shape
The course was very dry for this time of year, was firm!. Nice shape.
Auburn golf course
Excellent condition.challenging but fair. Definitely play there again
Enjoyable course
I had not played this course before, but I enjoyed my round. The course is well maintained and there were no on-course issues. I will play it again.
The one negative is that they do not have a concession cart. There was not enough time to stop between the front nine and the back nine to get something to eat and drink, and the concession window (which I learned about after the round)was not clearly marked as to its location.
Much improved
The course was very dry for thos time of year. Usually unwalkable but ot was firm!. Nice shape.
