So-So
Pace of play was brutal. 6 hours is unacceptable for 18. Only time I saw a Marshall was when he asked to play thru on 7
Easy and open with great greens
Auburn is a short, straight, and open course. It is also quite short from the whites ~6000. The tees, greens, and fairways were in great shape. The greens were a great color and rolled very true. This is a great course to work on your iron game.
Nice Golf Course
Front 9 more of a links course; back 9 more interesting with doglegs and elevation and water; overall a very nice mix of holes; signature hole on the back 9 is very good.
Great golf day
I was a single. Got paired up with 2 guys from Alki Bakery Co. Ken and Kyle were great to play with. We all had a lot of fun. The course was in great shape.
Fantastic Greens!!
Greens were in great shape! New carts are a nice touch. Food at the turn took too long though.
Great Course
Beautiful, well groomed golf course. reasonably contoured, smooth greens, very nice fairways with moderate rough and lots of towering firs. Beware, though, that those same trees deflect a lot of balls and play havoc with any errant shots. May be crowded, aka SLOW, on nice summery weekends but that's the price for having such a fun, challenging course.
Hot and dry
Course played great for a long hot streak of weather. Pin placement was tough but the greens are in great shape
Great staff
From the minute i pulled in the parking lot there was a staff member cleaning the lot. You enter the club house with a warm hello. Every day looks like tournament day. There always grooming the coarse. When your round is complete a trip to bougys public house for a cold drink and great food is a must. I would have to say Auburn is the best public coarse in south king county. I base this on coarse condition, staff, price and restaurant staff, menu and price.
Auburn Coarse
Very slow play. Did not see one marshal in 5hr 30 min.
Had to pass one group and not play the hole.
I like the courses challenging greens
Our foursome had a great time golfing there.....the made the hole placement challenging on my of the holes. The only down fall was that the sprinklers were on early in the morning, but after some sun it seemed to firm up pretty well!!!
Outstanding Conditions & Great New Restaurant
Course was in outstanding condition with the firmest greens I've experienced at AGC. Best public play value around.
Good challenge
Good course good people good challenge good food:)
Slow day
Very slow play... course in fair shape at best... kind of disappointing
Great food and beverage
Course was great for the money, but the best part was the beer price, 3.50 for a microbrew, extremely friendly staff and really good food.
The course is a nice one, not too challenging, gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because of the pace of play. But I would have given it 4.5 stars if that was an option.
Nice
the course and greens are in fantastic shape!..keep it up Auburn!
Bang for Your Buck
Hi all,
Auburn golf course is a great value. For the PNW, it's usually a pretty dry course. The greens are pretty hard and fast (better than most for the price). The course plays somewhat back and forth but the back nine adds more variety and elevation. Auburn golf course is now a staple course for me. It's a lot of fun and rate of play is closely monitored so there's not a lot of waiting. Happy golfing!
Good Local Course
Beyond some slow play from beginners, this is a fun course to play as long as the good weather holds. It's down in the valley, so Northwest rain can take its toll, especially in the fairway along the cart path. Today the tee boxes, fairways and greens were fantastic and full.
The back nine play tough with a pair of blind holes (11 and 13).
The only bad mark is the lack of a practice range, they do have space for one and do allow you to warm up, but you have to do it with your own balls which you must pick up yourself.
Sunday evening
Beautiful and busy Sunday evening with good course conditions and good pace of play on this nice than usual muni course
excellent golf course and staff!!
Challenging greens, beautiful holes, and staff is very accomadating. Highly recommend playing a round of golf if your nearby. Came in from downtown Seattle and the drive back took awhile. Would have chosen an earlier tee time if I had known that.
Best value in Seattle!
This course is an incredible value. It's challenging, yet not scary. It was jamb-packed yesterday, yet our total round time was under 5 hours. The staff are friendly, the pros are knowledgable, and they're good teachers of the game. The restaurant has good food at a good price.
The only cons are the occaisional presence of standing water or mud on some holes. But, for the money - especially through Golf Now - this is the best course value in Puget Sound.
