Nice conditions
The course was in great shape overall. The pace of play was perplexing consider f there weren't that many players. Coupe of really bad two domes clogged the pace on holes 14 and 15. Otherwise, it was a good day of golf in Auburn.
Pleasantly surprised
Played this course with the expectation of playing a typical muni course but was pleasantly surprised to find differently. The course was in great shape, the staff friendly and the facilities neat and clean. The front and back nine play completely different which, gives you a nice change of pace. All and all, a great golfing experience.
Still a good course.
Played Auburn in league for years except for the 4. Course is still great to play. Greens roll thru and we're quick. Only problem is letting 5somes and 6somes play. Made the front very slow. Staff needs to rethink this. Overall still good value and good course. I'll be playing it again this week.
Morning Golf
When I've played in the afternoons the pace has always been slow. Today, we started at 7am, played in 3 hours and were being pushed by the 3 some behind us.
Great Shape!
Had the chance to play last Sunday the 22nd, perfect weather day. The greens are in excellent shape, very true and rolled great. Pace was a little slow, couple of 5-somes and hole #4 causes things to back up. Opened up after that, good times for all.
Auburn
Good value for the money. Area is quiet except for periodic racing down the river road and buzzing power lines. Greens were in good shape and have lots of contour to make them a bit of challenge.
Auburn is a Great local course
Lots of fun holes with some variety. The front 9 is flat and back 9 has some modest terrain to deal with. Overall a good test.
Auburn course
First of all, the day was excellent weather for golf. The fairways and greens looked pristine. Paired up with a very friendly couple that added to our great experience. Also , I recommend spending some time in the patio area with a cold beverage enjoying the picturesque view with a great wait staff.
Really nice course!
Loved the new experience, great day of golf all around, I'll be back!
Greens are in great shape!
Tee to green the overall condition was very good. They've also fixed portions of the golf cart trail. Still some soft conditions specially up in the back 9.
Loved this course
Played here several times in the late 80's early 90's. Wow, has it moved up to a grade A course.
Solid Course
I've played Auburn a hand full of times and I've never been disappointed.
The course tends to be busy, at times, so don't expect to crank out a round in under three hours; however, don't let that deter you.
It's a very forgiving course. While there are trees that line the fairway, its far from being excessive. Plus, due to the layout of the course, it is possible to hit the ball left or right and still have a shot.
The design of the holes isn't overly challenging, most are straight for the most part. There are a few challenging dog legs, hazards to carry, and elevation changes, but nothing that's too much.
It's a great course to hit during the week, when you're not wanting to drive too far.
Great Course
I enjoyed the course very much. It was challenging yet fair if your tee shot was not in the fairway. Although if it was not in the fairway it was playable in most cases.
The greens were in great shape and the speed from the first to the last never really changed.
Hole 12 has a tough 1st shot
Overall the course was in very good condition. Both times I've played here the low spots have been very wet in the mornings. The staff is friendly and got me out almost immediately as a single. The marshals were present and not shy about asking some slower players to speed up.
Play Here Early
Started playing here in 1980.Course was inexpensive;but it was not a great course. They rebuilt and improved it,and built an outstanding clubhouse. They give you some room to hit it around;yet I still can't figure out why the slow play.I think it must be times too close together, and the 5 somes they seem to have no problem sending out.Play early;or expect slow play!
Super slow 9 holes
We teed off behind a league of hackers at 6pm and it us 2 hours and 45 minutes to finish 9 holes.
Great muni
Greens arn't the fastest but roll true and the course is well maintained. Locals called holes 7-9 their Amen corner and 15 & 16 are fun with an elevated tee shot and the signature par 3 with waterfall.
this course is good to practice.
This course has a friendly staffs and the course is nice
