Auburn GC
The course was in perfect condition and friendly staff as always
Poor customer service
This is the second time in a year that I've had rotten customer service at this course. The first time it happened, I wrote it off as the person may have been having a bad day. But for it to happen a second time tells me that this person just should not be working around customers. Been playing this course for 20 years and will not be going back.
Very wet
Beautiful course. Very well maintained but all the recent rain has made the course very sloppy in some areas.
Well maintained course with nice elevation changes.
It was a very well maintained course, considering the rain the days before. Lift, clean and place, some plugged lies and a few mushy greens were the only issues. The greens rolled very well, the rough was grown to a challenging length and the tee boxes are in great shape. Beautiful treelined fairways with a few water hazards.
Greens Still Not Up to Snuff
Altho' someone in the proshop told me that the greens had gone through the spring seeding process and were ready for play, it was obvious that they were not in their normal good condition. Greens were bumpy with punch hole marks still affecting the path of putts, and downhill putts were surprisingly slow. Normally, I have 25 - 29 putts per round but on this day, I had 38, and I attribute this to the greens, some which seemed not to have been mown after the seeding. I have played this course many times always marveling over the great conditions even 'tho it's a muni course. I just wish that pro shop employee had been more honest with me as I could care less about fairways and rough but I always want at least near pristeen green conditions. Think I'll wait a few more weeks before returning here.
Best course for the money
Other than the greens being plugged the course was fantastic. Well maintained course, give it a couple of weeks and the greens will be pristine.
nice and dry
The course was nice and dry and pace of play was nice also.
Great layout, great shape
Pro shop very friendly, and helpful. Course was wet but so was everything else in the NW. Cart paths only, proved to be a challenge for a old man with bad knees, But when you play after several days of rain you have to expect those conditions. They maintain the course very well, Looks great!
T for terrible!
This was a joke. They over book. There were 3 foursomes on every hole. Stood around for 3 hours waiting to hit .. No Marshalls...There was a group of 6 right in the middle of it all. Got through 9 - holes of the 18 we paid for before dark. Never will play Auburn again!!!!!
fun day of golfing
Course was in excellent condition, greens were in great shape. Pace of play was a little slow but it wasn't miserable. Had a great time and staff were super friendly.
Damp - but enjoyable
With all the rain in Jan/Feb - most courses in Seattle area are wet. Auburn is no exception. That being said, the course was actually in pretty good shape. Yes, there were spots where the fairways were quagmires - but actually got roll on some tee shots. Overall - enjoyed the course and the round. will definitely be going back.
wet
it rained all day but the course actually took the water pretty well. we had fun anyway.
Soggy but still fun.
I played this track for the first time this week. It's an enjoyable Muni with tricky greens and a great clubhouse. Obviously winter weather isn't helping out any course in western Washington so the fairways were soggy! Water was collecting in sand traps. I'm sure this is a super fun course during the summer but drainage was a problem for us. Lots of plugged balls. Regardless golf now had a great deal and I will be playing here again soon.
Winter golf
Auburn golf club plays pretty dry and is a refreshing winter time course. It plays very fair for all handicaps. With a few risk reward holes with small but fair greens.
BE CAREFUL AS YOU MAY LOSE STH.
New year day, we have to buy two sets of gloves. The price is good, but it did bring some low quality players in, we lost first set of gloves after a short washroom, seem that we knew who took it, but we are nice guys, also no evidence as we just bought new one. So just a few minutes, we have to buy another set, do remember that is Jan 1, 2014, in north WA. For sure that I do not want to go there any more, as I may worry a lot of my clubs, my packets, no way for me to enjoy the golf.
golf
course is really good condition and dry. they have lots of good deals on golfNow.
This course is fun to play
This course is a joy to play. Staff is very friendly. They came out and brought me another cart immediately, since mine was losing power. The course is well maintained and has varied, fun holes that are challenging but fair. Restaurant was excellent with tasty food and excellent, friendly service when I purchased food at the turn. Fair price too. Will be coming back again.
The course ground was park-like, serene and tranquil; lush vegetation, ponds and water falls, a stroll through a park.
Overall conditions of the greens were in good condition; well drained and manicured - fast greens. Specifically on the 16th hole, the green was fast and on a slope . . . must hit over the water to hit the green. Most holes were fairly straight and not too demanding. They introduced water hazards on the holes which had curves (17th and 18th); a bit more challenging for the first timers. In general, the course was well kept, facilities were in clean and in suitable condition.
greens in nice shape.
