Camaloch Golf Club
About
Camaloch Golf Course is located within the Puget Sound "Sun Belt," which receives only half of the nearby rainfall of nearby courses. Its location on Camano Island also puts it at an advantage during the summer months when the temperatures rise up to the 90s on the mainland, the golf course stays cool thanks to the coastal breezes. The course first opened with nine holes in 1972 and expanded to an 18-hole course in 1991. Known for its smooth and consistent greens, Camaloch G.C. has long been a local favorite. The layout starts with a gentler front nine that features wide fairways and fewer hazards. The back nine becomes much more difficult with several holes that play over water. Camaloch Golf Course's undulating greens putt fast and true, and they are often accompanied by strategically placed bunkers.

enjoyable course, weather wasn't what I had expected
I have to start by saying that I'm new to golf, and don't usually go if it's not also going to be a beautiful day, so I was a little disappointed in the forecast being wrong, and it started drizzling about 10 minutes before my round began. Having the cart to keep the rain off was nice, but playing with my jacket on, to stay dry while swinging was a hindrance. That's Spring golf in Washington. The fairways were soggy in a couple of places for the same reason.
Overall, very well maintained course, and friendly staff, I can't wait to try it in a month or two, and hope the grill is open by then too. Great value, and I would definitely recommend Camaloch.
great greens
some of the best greens in the state. short course that plays long in the winter.
Nice course, but drainage is an issue
I really enjoyed the course. It's a quality design that's moderately challenging with some very good holes. The biggest issue was the drainage. I rode as it was sprinkling, and there had been a fair amount of rain the day before, but I couldn't help but do horrible damage to the turf just walking to my shots. I lost 3 balls on tee shots that plugged in a fairway or near a green.
The back 9 was drier and it's the better side if you are only playing 9. The greens were very healthy and rolled well, but I can't recommend this place during the winter.
Great value!
It was a bit wet from the early rain but the course was great.
A great value!
Camaloch G.C. is well worth the trip from Seattle. The course is VERY well maintained. Hats of to the course staff! The greens are really well kept, and even though it was raining when we started, they remained fast and true. A truly rewarding golf experience, there are many interesting, challenging holes. Had a burger afterwards, and my buddies had various sandwich's, all good! Definitely will return.
Great friendly course, speed of play was excellent.
Camaloch Golf course is a true hidden gem with professional and helpful staff. The pace of play is excellent and the course is somewhat challenging. I have played about 13 rounds there this year and have had an excellent time all 13 rounds.
Nice layout
The course is not real long, but you need to place your shot. must be accurate of the tee.
This course had everything we enjoy about golf...good pace and friendly, fun play.
We were a foursome of women (ranging in age from 24 to 82)and it was quite nice not being pushed! We like to move at a good pace but we also enjoy a relaxed round without feeling like someone is rushing you through. We will definitely be back!!
Greens moderately fast & in decent shape.
Fairways aren't in the best shape & are not consistent in texture. Many brown spots that are hardpan yet there are muddy spots mixed in. Greens are nice shape & moderately fast. Roll pretty true. Staff very friendly. Speed of play was good - 4:15 hrs. Cost was good @ $24 for walking. Easy walking course.
price was right
greens fine well keep up. we are in are 70)s and walking was fine
The course has some interesting holes.
I have played this course in the Spring when it was wet. Nice to play it when it was dry. The greens are fast with some of them very hard to read due to the slight undulations.
Very nice course to play. Easy to walk.
Pulled a cart and enjoyed it. 4some let our 2some play through.
Challenging greens
The greens were as advertised "In great condition" . Play moved fast as it was a weekday and the overall course condition was good. A pretty easy walk as there is only one elevated hole on the back nine. The course plays relatively short with the par 5's being reachable with a well hit drive (230+). Expect extra roll as the fairways are firm. Overall a great day I'm a low 90's golfer and played to my handicap 18. :)
Course plays well
I would play it again everyday if it wasn't so far from where I live
Good course with a couple challenging holes
I enjoyed playing this course and is close to my friends summer house
Great!
Great course, interesting holes, greens putt true and are in excellent condition.
Great course during good weather
Course was in great shape even with the rain in the previous week. Fairly easy course even for a novice.
This is a nice course with only a few hazards that can get novice players in trouble.
Considering the recent rain the course was in great shape with only a few soggy areas. Greens looked great and played fast.
Varied layout, not as easy as it looks
A nice surprise. just off the highway on Camano Island, West of I-5 between Marysville and Mount Vernon. Nice people and a treasure for local golfers.
Water is in play but not overly so. Uphill, downhill and lateral holes provide an interesting layout that is not as easy as it looks your first time around. Not too difficult to walk, except for 1 steep uphill hole, but electric carts are only $12.50/rider including tax for 18 holes.
Would play it again and recommend it to everyone.
I really enjoyed this course and would play it again...
I am an average golfer so playing a course like Camaloch is perfect. Although not a difficult course it was laid out well.
The greens had just been punched and the pro shop called me to let me know they would accept a change in tee time if I wanted because of this.
To have received the call was a pleasant surprise. Professional, friendly, and a golf course I would highly recommend.
