EagleSticks Golf Club
About
EagleSticks Golf Club tumbles across gently rolling farmland situated just outside of Zanesville. The constant up-and-down characterizes the course from the rolling fairways to the undulating greens. The total elevation changes amount to more than 100 feet. The hilly terrain is adorned with pristine forests of oak, maple, ash, oak, and walnut trees. Cascading waterfalls can be found throughout the golf course as well. There are scenic views everywhere but don't let that distract you, the challenging layout requires your full attention. There are 90 bunkers strategically situated along the fairways and greens. It's not particularly long at 6,500 yards from the back tees, it's a golf course that instead favors accuracy over power. The par-5 11th is EagleSticks Golf Club's signature hole. Starting with a daunting downhill plunge, there is a creek that splits the fairway and a stream that runs alongside the left approaching the green.

Nice course; needs better maintenance
My big problem - pace of play was over 5.5 hours. Waited betwee 5 and 20 minutes on every tee box. Had 2 or 3 4somes in some par 3 tees. Not a ranger in sight
Great staff.
This is truly a hidden Gem of a course I would put this course up against any private club within a 100 miles.
Sturklay,
Thanks for making the drive from WV. We truly appreciate folks like you who jump in the car looking for a challenge. We hope you found the course charming and challenging at the same time. Mike Hurdzan designs will stir the spirit. Come see us again, and please stop in and say hello!

Great course, a must play in the area!!
Had always heard that Eaglesticks was a great course, but finally got a chance to play for myself last week. The course layout was great and the greens were in excellent condition. The GM, Kelly Murrow made our visit seem like it we were long time customers and he did a very good job of telling us about the course. A must play if you are in the area, or even if you do not live in the area.
TJ,
Sorry that it took us so long to get you here, but I am glad you enjoyed EagleSticks the same way I always have. It is a special piece of ground owned by a special family. Can't wait to serve you again!

hillbilly haven
I am a resident of muskingum co and was so dissapointd with the grade of people playing. Not to ne rude but there was some real low life's playing that bad no gold etiquette. These individuals have golf a bad name. We had a 3 some and we are all 2 handicap or lower. These hillbilly people would not let us play through. Also they picked up my ball on a short drivable par 4 for driving the green. It was something like 365 from the tips and the ball trickled 3 yds onto the green. I will give the pga asst props for being so prompt in coming out to move the individuals along. They then tryd to fight us. 3 65 yr olden wanted to fight 3 25 yr old guys. It was redicilous. Greens were hard and fast but rolled true. Maybe make the course have some sort of screening for who can play.
not what I remember
course burned out. won"t play it again no sand in the bunkers
nice value, fast greens
the course has character, not a flat cow pasture. bunkers well maintained, fairways maybe cut a little short. you can tell they work hard at keeping the course in great shape. very pleasing round. ive played several pga courses with less natural charm than this one. highly recommend. even the players on the course were nice, letting me play through with no problem.
Jerejere,
WE really appreciate your comments. Hope to see you again soon at the Sticks. Stop in and introduce yourself the next time that you are in!

Good course
Played yesterday. Course was in decent shape but not what it was a year ago. A few tee boxes were burnt out??? Bunkers were not raked, had rocks, and only a few had been trimmed. Greens were nice and really fast. Pace of play was 3 hours at 8 AM on a Monday (awesome). Fairways were decent and rough had a few weeds. Sounds critical but I played here last year and the course was amazing. Carts were brand new which is nice. Staff were really friendly. Would play here again for Hotdeal rate. FYI...layout is amazing.
Jantz,
Thanks for the feedback. First we appreciate your comments about the layout and the staff. We strive to be as service oriented as possible. As for the course, three weeks ago we were in the best shape in four years, however, the dry spell over the last three weeks has been trying. We are hoping to see some cooler temperatures, and you will see a rebound. Come see us again soon!

5.5 hour round
Course was in great shape. We knew pace would be slow but by hole three it was evident it was going to be a long hot day. By hole 7 we had 5 groups on the hole. One on the green one on fairway and 3 groups waiting to tee off. When we made the turn I made it a point to make sure the staff at least knew about it. It seemed that they did not but were glad I said something. I work too much to get all irate about something like this on a Sunday round of golf so I went with it. But it really does ruin any chance you have of getting in a rhythm when you have to wait 5 minutes between nearly every shot.
Jason,
We want you to know that we appreciate your reviews of the course. We also appreciate that you thought very highly of our course conditions, staff friendliness, and food and beverage. I am very sorry that the pace of play clearly dampened the experience for you. Pace of play is a challenge in the golf industry all the way to the PGA Tour. I would love for you to call me so that I could discuss this further with you!

1st Experience
Course sounds more intimidating than it actually is. Pretty well set up holes with excellent views of nature.
Wilson99,
Thanks so much for taking the time to give us the feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the views! If you like the views, you must return in the fall when the fall colors start to show. You will love it. Stop in and introduce yourself the next time you are in, I would love to say hello!

Awesome, Must Play Course!
This was the first time playing Eagle Sticks and boy was I impressed. This was the best public course I've played in Ohio in 2015, don't turn down the opportunity to play it! Course conditions were excellent and greens were quick at an excellent price! Play this one.
Brent,
Wow, we are glad you liked the course! Please come back soon and share your thoughts with your friends. We look forward to serving you again at EagleSticks!

Eaglesticks is the place to be! Great course!
I have been playing here since it opened. Course gets a lot of play and holds up nice. You get a country club atmosphere on a budget. Staff treats you like a member even if it's your first time there. You won't be disappointed.
Customer Focused Friendly Place
A first time visit after hearing many good things about Eagle Sticks. From our greeting to turning in our carts, everyone was making sure we had a good round. Telling about some history of the family, the course, letting us in on the way to approach a particular hole. My group was impressed with the facility, the course and the overall experience. This is a must for anyone living or visiting Central Ohio.
It is important that you know how much a review like this means to us. We are here to serve, that is our job, but hearing how much it is appreciated is so nice! Have a great golf season.

Great course
Played this course as part of the 9 Stars of Golf package with Longaberger Golf Course as the other one. Both course were in good shape despite all the rain the area has received. Eagle Sticks is the easier of the two venues with less forced carries, but both courses challenges start with having to hit the fairways! Greens have a lot of undulations to negotiate and are fairly fast. Played the course twice and saw a huge improvement to the greens after being rolled and cut. The head pro Kelly Morrow is a special person, not only is he the head pro at the facility but he also coordinates the 9 Stars of Golf outings. He does a superb job and goes above expectations to make you feel welcome! Will definitely be returning to these courses!
While we always enjoy seeing our past customers, we truly enjoy the opportunity to welcome new customers to EagleSticks. We couldn't be more pleased that you felt so welcome. ......... We hope that you will be back soon!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST GOLF TRIP EVER
I cant say enough about the overall quality of this trip. This is my 6th trip to Eagle Sticks and once again it was top quality. I have been on golf trips to Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, and Punta Cana and this was the best of the bunch. The course is great, the food is great, and the staff is absolutely tremendous. My dad hurt his back a week before our trip and couldnt play but still wanted to go. We had 8 golfers and him. Right away the staff offered my dad a cart to ride around with us at no charge which I thought was exceptionally nice. Their website offers prices for certain packages however if they dont meet your needs simply call Kelly Morrow, the golf pro, and he will customize a package for you, as he did for us. He is a great guy and easy to get along with. He even walked up to the bar to male sure everything went well for us. All the new guys I took with me were absolutely amazed how well we were treated. This is a 5 star golf trip for a 3 star price. Reccomend this trip to anyone.
Brian
While we appreciate your comments, you have set the bar very high for us. Keeping up some of the facilities that you have mentioned is no small task for a facility like ours................but we welcome the opportunity and the challenge! Can't wait to serve you again.

Hit em Straight
As long as you are in the fairway you will score great. This is not a long course
Very sloooow
The course was in great shape, especially considering all the rain the area has recently gotten, but the pace of play was AWFUL. It took our foursome 5 hours and 20 minutes to play 18. Not sure if this is typical, as it seems like the 2 foursomes in front of us may have been the cause of the slowness, but I did call into the clubhouse on the 11th hole to see if someone could come out on the course to help speed up the pace, but no one came out.
Nschepis- We are very pleased that you liked the course, but we are VERY SORRY that the round took longer than you like. I hope that you can contact me so that we can discuss. We would like to have you back soon, and we want to make sure that the round meets your expectations!

Great course!
Challenging layout with great views. cant beat this public course for the money. This is a must play no matter you live in Ohio.
Rrw88r- Thanks so much for the review. In today's golfing climate we choose to focus on two things. Value and service. We appreciate that you noticed. Please come see us again soon, and stop in at the golf shop and introduce yourself! Have a great summer.
Very nice layout.
The course was in excellent shape, and the pace of play was awesome since we were the first group on the course.
We noticed when we arrived in the clubhouse for lunch that the menu changed, and the waitress voluntered they had a new cook. The food was not very good, and not even close to the quality as prior times we have played and stopped for lunch. Will play the course again, but find another place to eat lunch.
Thanks for playing EagleSticks, we are glad you enjoyed the course! Stop in and introduce yourself next time you are in. I would like to say hello!

A Gem of a Secret
Very Nice course. Layout was great. All downhill tee Shots. Fairways are tight but good. Greens are FAST but not unplayable and read true. This is a gem of a course. Beautiful design in the middle of no where. This course can compete with the best of Myrtle Beach Courses.
Janet,
We are very pleased that you hold our course in such high regard. This year marks our 25th anniversary, and we are still striving to provide the very best of golf experiences. We hope to see you again soon!
Great mini-golf get-a-way
We heard about the Eaglesticks/Longaberger golf package at the Cleveland Golf Show and made our arrangements through Kelly Morrow. Our group consisted of 4 couples, who have been on many get-a-way golf vacations. The courses were challenging, yet, fun to play and featured well-positioned ladies' tees.
This is a first-rate operation: from the golf, to the accommodations etc... We had an enjoyable time & would recommend this trip to anyone looking for great golf at an unbeatable price.
Hudgolf1,
We can't wait to book another trip for you! Just say the word. Thanks for all of the great comments.

SL,
I am very sorry for your experience. I want you to know that it is always our hopes to provide an enjoyable golf experience, and we fell short. The pace of play that you mentioned is not acceptable and we will strive to make sure you do not experience this next time.
I want you to know that the current course conditions are due to the face we have had no rainfall for 6 1/2 weeks, and our water source is being guarded. I can only say to you that if you look at our review as little as a month ago, our guests were giving us rave reviews. I hope you will come see us again, and please come in and see me personally so I can apologize for your experience.
