About
EagleSticks Golf Club tumbles across gently rolling farmland situated just outside of Zanesville. The constant up-and-down characterizes the course from the rolling fairways to the undulating greens. The total elevation changes amount to more than 100 feet. The hilly terrain is adorned with pristine forests of oak, maple, ash, oak, and walnut trees. Cascading waterfalls can be found throughout the golf course as well. There are scenic views everywhere but don't let that distract you, the challenging layout requires your full attention. There are 90 bunkers strategically situated along the fairways and greens. It's not particularly long at 6,500 yards from the back tees, it's a golf course that instead favors accuracy over power. The par-5 11th is EagleSticks Golf Club's signature hole. Starting with a daunting downhill plunge, there is a creek that splits the fairway and a stream that runs alongside the left approaching the green.

Golfer Reviews
Could be so much better
This course is not aging well. The greens are not consistent and very hard. The sand traps are horrible, they have not been maintained well at all, and is it too much to ask the workers to remove the tee makers, mow, and then put them back instead of taking them all off and leaving them for the whole process. Very nice layout that is sadly not being maintained well.
early spring
Still some muddy spots here and there, but that's to be expected. Staff was awesome as always, and the food and service in Macs was five star as usual, we will be back!
scenic with elevation changes
Fun and scenic course and with several sets of tees, can be as challenging as you want. Staff is very friendly! Only problem I had was it wasn't very well marked for distances on tees and in fairway.
We appreciate you sharing your experience with the golfing public! Hope to see you again in 2015.
Pars and Birdies
nothing bad to say all good
One of the best courses I've ever played. I would play there every day if I could . Every time I play there I don't want to leave .
Wow, great review! Hope you will be playing at EagleSticks again very soon!
Challenging greens!
Enjoyed a beautiful course on a beautiful fall day. With the discount offered through Golf Now, we decided to drive 1 1/2 hours to play. Not a long course, but it can eat your lunch if you get out of position, especially on the challenging fast greens.
We appreciate you sharing your experience with the golfing public! Hope to see you again in 2015.
Pars and Birdies
Overall great course
The greens and tee boxes are well maintained but there are some rough spots on the in a couple of the fairways, but overall it is a very nice course
Wow, great review! Hope you will be playing at EagleSticks again very soon!
course was maintained in tip top shape.
While greens are getting matured from aeration,it is still playable and will be great in a couple of weeks. Roughs were also maintained well as expected and they were blowing leaves away from greens.
Great track
Course is challenging and has a good layout. Only problem was cart path only rule the day we played but I respect that because it helps keep course in great condition. I'll be back to play again!
Senic course, good food, rates high for area.
Staff was friendly,we were paired with another twosome. Luckily got along well with them. Felt the rough was a little high as we lost 3 balls and felt we knew where they landed. Overall the course was in good shape except the greens would not hold approach shots. Had a good time but would not play this course if not for discounted Internet rate. Course not worth regular rate.
course was in fair condition.
course was in fair condition. quite a few bare spots in the fairways and greens that really needs some TLC. slightly disappointed for a course that claims 4 1/2 stars.
Very pretty course
Great golf course. Some bare or burned out spots in the fairways and greens. Lots of unfixed and obviously old ball marks in the greens. Greens very difficult to read and putt.
Will play again.
Needs attention
This course layout was cool, but the fairways were chewed up, greens were hard and very inconsistent. They pay more attention to the rough then the fairways. Not a very good experience
Course that will keep your attention
I have been playing EagleSticks a few times a year for awhile now and find it to be one of my favorites in central Ohio. There are many memorable holes and the course has always been very well maintained. The restaurant and bar area are also top notch.
Great Course Not a Great Day
I was excited to play Eaglesticks after reading a bunch of reviews and what not, the course itself is GREAT.Beautiful well maintained and great elevation changes and rolling hills. The ONLY problems I had were two fold, one was according to the own courses websites all carts are equipped with gps which they weren't, and two the course was so full the pace of play was brutal. the first two holes were a little slow but by the time we got to the third hole there was a back up of about 6 groups it was brutal! the round was just not fun after that because we had to wait plus everyone from behind caught up and then it was just speed golf. which is never my ideal golf day. I would very much recommend the course as it was fun and beautiful just make sure the course is not packed when you do so.
Fun Day at Eaglesticks
We had a very nice day at Eaglesticks. The staff is super friendly and would recommend making the drive to Zanesville to play the course.
nice layout. course was in good shape
Nice course. Was in good condition for the rain they have had greens were also in good shape.
Slow Play and observant staff
Went to play 18. Had several foursomes in front of me that were playing together. On one hole I waited 27 minutes, it took me 3 hours to play 9 holes of golf. I left after the 11th hole, I ran out of time.
When I came in the GM asked me how my round went. I told him, he went in a gave me a free 9. Eagle Sticks is my home course for a reason. The course is beautiful and the staff is great. I brought my two daughters along with me and they were treated great by the staff and customers.
This review shows that they want to make you have a great experience. I've played here dozens of times and this would be my only negative experience which was handled.
nice, but need to get ahold of pace of play
5 hour and 40 minutes to play. Convinced groups cut in on two. Good people, cute girls working, nice layout. Greens need some attention. But there needs to be a hammer to drop on slow play
slow play, tough greens
greens hold on approach shots, 5.5 hours for 18 holes, waiting on every hole, every shot, challenging course, greens look rough but roll decent, very fast. Yardage was off on a lot of holes, advanced golfers should play the tips/gold tees, they are shorter than what the sign/card states, according to my gps which has been correct since I used it at several courses the past few months. staff courteous, beverage cart girl was out there a lot, good thing, they ran out of drinking water on several holes by evening time-3pm area
Worth the 2 Hr. drive!
Raining for 3 days in Dayton so we saw a window of opportunity in Zanesville at Eaglesticks. Glad we did. Although it was cart path only in this day,(so wet there's no way you could take a cart in the fairway) it was a pleasure to play here. Stunning layout! So many elevation changes and many postcard holes. Played from the tips and although there are 4 450yd. par 4s from here there's also many shorter holes. Greens are well thought out for each hole. Every hole a challenge but playable from different tees for everyone. Will return later in the summer when it's drier.
Hope to see you back when the weather breaks!
