Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course boasts a reputation as one of the best courses in western Washington. Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the course is less than 10 miles from both Lacey and Hawks Prairie as well as just a short drive from JBLM and DuPont. The 27-hole layout consists of three nines: Blue, Green, and Red; that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Green Course begins with one of the original nines when the course first opened as Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940. The Green nine was added in 1979. The classic design of the front nine is slightly less challenging than the back, where you'll find plenty of trees and strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes.
Previously known as Blue/Green at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Great big course, great big bargain
Eagles pride is a long, hilly course. When you play there, you rarely see the other fairways. It has beautiful trees, water hazards, beautiful views, great greens, and a great staff. It’s right off of I five and it could not be more convenient.
Great June conditions!
Grass is eye-candy everywhere, including the greens. Bunkers are soft. Fescues are challenging to hit out. Overhanging, over-teaching leafy branches high up on many trees can post a challenge to your flight paths. Bring a towel to swat away the little pieces from the trees on the green for a true putt path. Requires smart course management to avoid pitfalls. I had some stingers to get under the trees and that was fun. A great find for a good rate. Literally right off the exit on I-5, felt like a pit stop but golf stop this time!
It’s just ok
Golf Now sucks. I had a tee time with one of my sons. Then another son wanted to join us. Couldn’t do it because of GN. Would have charged us for five rounds. I will never book through them ever again... this was my first experience. It was horrible!
3 Hour Round
The course was in great shape and empty. We walked due to course restrictions it that was the only negative. It was enjoyable and peaceful. Will come back again.
Avoid during Covid-19 - PACKED and Slow
Played on Friday afternoon of the first week of opening golf courses in WA. Quit after 9 holes because it was so slow.
Positives -
Course was in decent shape
Negatives -
Tee times are 4!! Minutes apart
My twosome was paired with a threesome
9 holes took 2 hours 45 mins
Tee boxes were stacked 3 or 4 groups deep
Club house staff and starter prickly and rude to non-military members (this has been the case every time I have played there).
slow golf
At our 10:48 tee time there was already 10 golfers waiting on the tee box. Made for a very long and slow round. 5.5 hours
Great time at Eagles Pride today. Course is in good condition. $13 for 18 holes is a screaming deal for such a nice course. A little cold and windy, but no rain a good time had by all, but 19th hole was closed...
Winter Golfing
Coarse is in great shape! Very playable in the PNW winter. No soggy or muddy areas. Feet stayed dry! Price was right. Get out and play this coarse if you wanna knock the rust off. Restaurant has great food and service.!
Look no further, this is a nice winter course!
The course is holding up well despite some rainy days recently. The greens are awesome - good cut and the rolls are true enough. Very few golfers out there during the week, especially in the 40's. I'd go there everyday to hone my skill sets until next season! :-)
Precision required
Challenging course have to have accuracy with long stick and short. Lots of elevation changes to challenge decision making. Tight course go play but don’t be upset shooting over your home course handicap.
Nice course plays long.
Always enjoy playing here. Course plays long and the 432 yard par 4 is a bit much. Greens were good with lots of slopes. Fairways were in great shape. Cold and rainy, but still enjoyable. Recommend if you're in the area.
