Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course boasts a reputation as one of the best courses in western Washington. Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the course is less than 10 miles from both Lacey and Hawks Prairie as well as just a short drive from JBLM and DuPont. The 27-hole layout consists of three nines: Blue, Green, and Red; that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Green Course begins with one of the original nines when the course first opened as Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940. The Green nine was added in 1979. The classic design of the front nine is slightly less challenging than the back, where you'll find plenty of trees and strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes.
Previously known as Blue/Green at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Winter Golfing
Coarse is in great shape! Very playable in the PNW winter. No soggy or muddy areas. Feet stayed dry! Price was right. Get out and play this coarse if you wanna knock the rust off. Restaurant has great food and service.!
Look no further, this is a nice winter course!
The course is holding up well despite some rainy days recently. The greens are awesome - good cut and the rolls are true enough. Very few golfers out there during the week, especially in the 40's. I'd go there everyday to hone my skill sets until next season! :-)
Precision required
Challenging course have to have accuracy with long stick and short. Lots of elevation changes to challenge decision making. Tight course go play but don’t be upset shooting over your home course handicap.
Nice course plays long.
Always enjoy playing here. Course plays long and the 432 yard par 4 is a bit much. Greens were good with lots of slopes. Fairways were in great shape. Cold and rainy, but still enjoyable. Recommend if you're in the area.
Nice Change
Been awhile since I got down to Eagles Pride. Wreck on 512 made me a little late so cashier seemed put off by it although I called from the road to give a heads up. Skipped 1 and came back to it. Never caught guy I was supposed to play with so played solo...and flew.
I liked the change on Blue (?) where they took the wonky dogleg par 4, made it a 3 then made the long 3 into a 4. That was a smart move.
Greens in just fantastic(!!) shape.
One of the best value
Great value. Only issue was the highway and the noise for a few holes
Course was in great shape and staff was great
Good course. Rude staff
Whatever guy we checked in with was extremely rude to the people in front of my group and myself. Never had such a bad experience. After he was rude he gave me the wrong change and didn't give me a range token so I had to drive all the way back to the clubhouse and just got a refund. I was done. Course is beautiful though. Greens have good pace and break quite a bit more than any other course out here.
Great Course!
We played early morning. The course was in excellent shape!!
Staff was great, very helpful!
Nice but........
The course is challenging and long. I hadn't eaten before the round and the front 9 Red Course goes right in the the 9 hole Blue Course, which is not near the clubhouse. There was no food/beverage cart during the weekdays which I found out 15 holes in. The Gatorade vending machine didn't work. I ran out of energy before the 18th hole. I'm not sure why there isn't a cart if the re is no easy way to get to the clubhouse at the turn. The cart person would have made money off of me today had there been one.
Beautiful course
First time playing this for chorus and it was beautiful. Great clubhouse good staff and wonderful layout with beautiful flowers and very well-maintained golf course. Around was a little slow but that was just because of a couple playing partners that were taking their time too much. But overall a very nice course and we will be back
Overall...5 out of 10
Be careful when booking your round. This course has 3 nines and when we showed for our 1pm tee time, two of the nines were closed due to multiple tournaments being held. What this meant for us is that we were assigned to the Green Course, which isnt that great. And we had to play it twice to get in our round of 18.
Also, ordering food there was ridiculous. Asked for a hotdog at the bar and was told it would be over 30 mins. For a dang hotdog!
I like the red and blue nines tho.
Disappointed
The “gentleman” checking folks in was about as rude and ignorant as he could of been. The gal was pretty much clueless as well. Maybe a beverage cart on a hot summer weekend might be something this dump of a course should consider.
I’d suggest to pay a few more dollars and go elsewhere..
Great Value
This course provides great value. Course in good condition although greens could certainly be a bit faster. Very friendly personnel in pro shop that really made us feel welcome. Grumpy starter was only downside to a good experience.
