Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course boasts a reputation as one of the best courses in western Washington. Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the course is less than 10 miles from both Lacey and Hawks Prairie as well as just a short drive from JBLM and DuPont. The 27-hole layout consists of three nines: Blue, Green, and Red; that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Green Course begins with one of the original nines when the course first opened as Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940. The Green nine was added in 1979. The classic design of the front nine is slightly less challenging than the back, where you'll find plenty of trees and strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes.
Previously known as Blue/Green at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Wet but playable
Caught this course on a gorgeous day right after the rains and it was plenty moist with no roll out making it play longer than its regular 6365. Lots of well shaped and interesting holes. Played with two other singles at 11:15 am and never had anyone in front of us and the group that started right behind us gradually fell behind so it was like owning the course.
Yah it was wet but what isn't this time of year, so you play winter rules because every shot has mud on it. Most of the greens were in fine shape, just soft from rain. I don't hit it far enough to get on in regulation from the whites anymore especially 8 & 9 on the Blue course but when I play here with friends on the Golds, it is quite fair.
Amazing conditions
I thought the greens were synthetic base on the practice green, it was that perfect. Turns out the greens on the course were the best I've seen and better than or at least equal to some really expensive courses. You need a guide to find to correct holes but other wise, it's a really delightful course. I've walked on twice and been paired up with great playing partners both times. Definitely not pretentious.
Watch out for the Snack Shack!
Got a great $39 deal with cart and meal. Assumed the 9th hole would end up at the clubhouse. It doesn't. Snack Shack (where ever it was, I never did see it)closed at 4 so I missed out on the meal. That being said, the course was a fun challenge carved out of the woods with deer meandering through the property. The greens were slow but in good shape. Friendly staff also. Will definitely play there again.
GolfNow Deal is great here!
If it weren't for the GolfNow deal, we wouldn't have golfed here. Course was in good shape for not having any rain in a while. All in all we had fun. If you can get a deal on a tee time, take it. If you can't, look for a different track.
lady at pro shop was rude
Lady at pro shop was rude and UN friendly made you feel unwelcome.
Good greens, held well
Greens were good, held up well, fairways were in great shape
Nice 3-nine hole courses
This was first time playing this course. We played the Red/Blue courses. Very friendly staff. Course is challenging for both average and good golfers. Walkers can enjoy this course.
Great course for the price
Staff was friendly and pleasant to talk with. Great course layout, and in great condition. Really enjoyed my 1st round at Eagle's Pride and will definitely be coming back.
Hardmode 126 slope
The greens were slightly slow. But it did rain a little prior to tee off. Course has 3 nine holes red blue and green.we played red and blue. Total yards was 6800+ with 126 slope from the tees we played. Many par 4s over 400 yards which made for long approach shots. Easily among the harder 126 slope ratings. Fun and challenging course
Best value we've found yet!
great track, super price. I personally think the course is more difficult than it is rated. We'll be back again...
Return Visit
This was a return visit by someone who was stationed here 20 years ago, great shape and well worth the visit
Awsome day
Everything was great mild weather, fast greens, pace alittle slow but relaxing
Very good course
My uncle and I decided to play Eagle's Pride course after seeing the deal through GolfNow. Got an excellent deal and have played this course before and really liked it. One of the best courses in the area. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable round.
Great course for the money
Great course for the money. the guy at the counter was nice and let me and my buddy play the 3rd set of 9 holes when we finished up 18 which was awesome. the pace of play was perfect didn't feel pushed or feel like we were pushing the people in front of us. greens were very challenging not to many straight putts. fairways were short and dry which made the ball role forever which helped because its a long one. overall great experience previous reviews of poor service must have been addressed because the staff was helpful and made it fun to be around. also its an easy drive down from up north just jump off exit 116 and there parking lot is directly off the freeway.
thanks again can't wait to come back and play again
Great course to play
It was a great day to play. The course was not too busy because of the holiday. Beautiful course with 3 different 9 hole courses to choose from. Will definitely go back and play there again.
July 4
Not as busy as I thought it would be for a holiday in the morning. Course in good shape. Play was ahead of schedule 3.5 hours to play. Thought I would cut into my high handicap well the course had other ideas. My group of 4 had a good time.
Eagle is proud
Hadn't played course in 6 or 7 years and had forgotten how beautiful it is ...old school layout, challenging holes...greens were in need of repair but rolled well..
Great course
Long and challenging greens with character.
A good hot deal
I've played this course for 40 years and it's always been a great deal. Played it today for $26 with a cart. Played as a single and was alone on the course for the most part. Gave me a great chance to check yardage on a lot of my clubs and try different shots. Never would have been able to do that if I wasn't alone. Greens weren't in very good shape though. Give them another month. I'll continue to play there, probably not another 40 years though.
