Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course boasts a reputation as one of the best courses in western Washington. Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the course is less than 10 miles from both Lacey and Hawks Prairie as well as just a short drive from JBLM and DuPont. The 27-hole layout consists of three nines: Blue, Green, and Red; that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Green Course begins with one of the original nines when the course first opened as Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940. The Green nine was added in 1979. The classic design of the front nine is slightly less challenging than the back, where you'll find plenty of trees and strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes.
Previously known as Blue/Green at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

the worst course this side of the mason-dixon county line.
Freeway noise was horrendous! Greens were all flat and botchy. Sands were made of rocks. Cart paths felt like woop te do's. And the goose droppings made it so you didnt even want to address your ball. If your ball went off the fairway ten feet it was lost in the knee high rough or dead branches.
jblm red/green
challenging course both long and narrow at times. Lots of fun, in good shape. greens were a bit slow, but in good shape.
Bad experience this time
The staff was friendly, the course started out slow and got slower. I was with my girlfriend and she has only played for 3 years. I waited for every shot I hit. Sometimes chatting with the 2 sum in front of us. We saw a marshall on the 14th hole. He said he was the first one there. The other one didn't come in today.
Great course for the price
The course was soggy and muddy in places. With no ball washers, made it a bit more difficult trying to keep your ball clean.
Great golf
Great course, great layout, can't wait to go back!
Highly recommend
Great condition for March. Rained a little but did not effect play, greens roles nice
Nice course layout and scenic
This was the first time for me playing this course and the first time for my son playing on a real course. The main thing I like about the course is the fact there are no houses close enough to hit, which was a key in choosing this course because my son has a big fade on his shots. The staff I encountered was friendly and while playing, the grounds crew was considerate when we were playing through. About the only negative thing I could say was the group behind us was pushing the pace, which may me feel rushed. That is no reflection on the course or it's staff, just wanted to state that. I would recommend this course to friends/acquaintances and will be playing it again in the future.
greens
The greens had just been airiated and the unfriendly gal at the front desk said nothing about it. They also let a group jump ahead of us that was supposed to be 2 groups behind us. I know this is still March but just give us a heads up next time.
winter golf
The course was in great shape with the exception of the green. They had just been punched on the front 9 and were still recovering on the back 9. Otherwise very good for early March.
great round
Staff is friendly and helpful.
We had the first few holes in the fog. That made driving interesting.
My friends and I will be back

play for sure
Fun track\\\27 holes except for summer 18. Play is on good long course
Grumpy office lady!
Golf this course often, and enjoy it! Was not treated very nice by the lady that that checked us in. We were early for our tee time and because we paid such a discounted price on this website, she didn't want us to tee off early... Understand fully, yet the course was slow and no one was in line. No one in front and no one behind us. We finished in 3:45!!! Had a great day, just don't think the course should offer a great discount only to make people guilty.
Ok - but
A little muddy. Lots of mole hills. Coughing desk clerk needs to learn proper way of coughing instead of coughing into hands and then handling cart key, etc. There are no healthy (vegetarian) food items available in menu.
Pretty course
I play this course about 10 times a year. I have always enjoyed it. Give it a try.
Another Great Round
This is a solid golf course and a great value for the money. It does not have as many additional features as some courses and that is why I gave it a 4/5 instead of 5/5. I have played this course 5 times now and I plan to play it again in the future. Greens were in great shape considering the amount of rain recently.
Great Outing in the Rain
It was a wet day but that kept many golfers away. Play time was excellent. Course was in great condition - no soggy puddles to contend with.
Challenging but fair.
Well maintained, nice variety of holes, plenty of elevation change and a balance of sand, water and trees to to add to the challenge. Good course to return to for another round.
Red - Good; Blue -Sanded greens
Red was in good shape. Blue had just sanded the greens. Doesn't matter the course is a nice challenge. If you haven't played it before you may miss some opportunities or get yourself in a little trouble. Enjoyable round.
easy to find
great course people are nice course was taking car of well
What the heck is "foot golf"?
I was pretty disappointed with my experience due to the fact that "foot golf" was not explained by Golfnow. I assumed "foot golf" meant that I would be WALKING instead of RIDING. I had absolutely no clue that I would need a soccer ball! So I ended up paying the reservation fee and then the regular rate to play at the course because I didn't go to the golf course to play SOCCER! So I paid more rather than less to play. Next time why not describe it as "soccer golf" (like Frisbee golf)? Pretty ridiculous in my opinion.
