Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green

About
Eagles Pride Golf Course boasts a reputation as one of the best courses in western Washington. Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the course is less than 10 miles from both Lacey and Hawks Prairie as well as just a short drive from JBLM and DuPont. The 27-hole layout consists of three nines: Blue, Green, and Red; that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Green Course begins with one of the original nines when the course first opened as Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940. The Green nine was added in 1979. The classic design of the front nine is slightly less challenging than the back, where you'll find plenty of trees and strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes.
Previously known as Blue/Green at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

We must know the fact.
After 2:30PM, Eagles pride golf course doesn’t permit the cart rental. But there is no notice in Golfnow App.
Staff
This course could be one of the best around with how difficult and challenging it is. Always well maintained. The extreme downfall is how the staff treats people.
Red and Blue Course
I played my favorite setup, Red to Blue. Course conditions were great from all of the recent rains we’ve had. Putting greens were soft and smooth. Best time to play Eagles Pride is now, early Fall before they change to their winter setup.
Nature Preserve
The course was absolutely beautifully maintained and managed. On the course nature abounds especially with deer. We had deer on our tee boxes and on or near the greens on at least six of the holes. The pace of play was very fast we never butted up against the group in front of us.
Back for more:
A 1970 course, needs some attention, they don’t rake the traps often
Strange course
Odd course lay out, 1970 or 60’s I believe, the course needs some work! Interesting but if you like a 1975 round of golf , this is the place!
Good track
Great course I would most definitely play it again if in the Seattle area again. The hole with the fountain (Red course) was cool.
Great course but
Course is an absolute blast and the staff riding around in carts were very friendly but the staff in the clubhouse are incredibly rude and just a pain to communicate with
Great shape!
With all the hot days, the course overall was in great shape. Couple soggy spots in front of the greens, that resulted in plugged balls on approach. Otherwise great place to play.
Rude staff
The course was beautiful, but I’ve never had staff be so rude from the minute we arrived until we left. A couple of our wives wanted to watch, not golf. We were a 4 top. The guy at checkin yelled at us and said their course “wasn’t a place for a family outing”. Then when we were on the course, almost half way done, the worsen came over to us and said we were going too slow and needed to speed up. A few holes later he came back. Again said we weren’t going fast enough. Then he sat for at out 5-10 min to babysit us. He eventually left, probably bc he could see we weren’t goofing around, just golfing. It took us exactly 4 hours and 10 min for the 18holes. And we started 3 min early. So in our opinion, the Marshall should have left us alone. The front desk guy and the Marshall soured the whole experience. Oh, and it wasn’t until we got to the 17th hole that we ever even saw the people behind us.
Great value
Great value for the green fee. Greens were really nice.
Our group thought the rough ( first cut ) was a bit too thick/punishing.
