Eagles Pride Golf Course - Green/Red
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course has long been known as one of the best military courses in the country and luckily for golfers, it's open to the public. Originally opened in 1940, the course started as the 18-hole Fort Lewis Golf Course. Another nine was added in 1979 but it wasn’t until the mid-1990s that it became Eagles Pride. The three nines are called the Green, Red, and Blue, and they are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Green/Red Course starts with the newest and most challenging of the three nines. The course will test you with plenty of trees, water hazards, undulating slopes, and even the occasional blind shot. There are some tough holes but players of all skill levels could enjoy any of the nines.
Previously known as Green/Red at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Great Course!
We played early morning. The course was in excellent shape!!
Staff was great, very helpful!
Nice but........
The course is challenging and long. I hadn't eaten before the round and the front 9 Red Course goes right in the the 9 hole Blue Course, which is not near the clubhouse. There was no food/beverage cart during the weekdays which I found out 15 holes in. The Gatorade vending machine didn't work. I ran out of energy before the 18th hole. I'm not sure why there isn't a cart if the re is no easy way to get to the clubhouse at the turn. The cart person would have made money off of me today had there been one.
Beautiful course
First time playing this for chorus and it was beautiful. Great clubhouse good staff and wonderful layout with beautiful flowers and very well-maintained golf course. Around was a little slow but that was just because of a couple playing partners that were taking their time too much. But overall a very nice course and we will be back
Overall...5 out of 10
Be careful when booking your round. This course has 3 nines and when we showed for our 1pm tee time, two of the nines were closed due to multiple tournaments being held. What this meant for us is that we were assigned to the Green Course, which isnt that great. And we had to play it twice to get in our round of 18.
Also, ordering food there was ridiculous. Asked for a hotdog at the bar and was told it would be over 30 mins. For a dang hotdog!
I like the red and blue nines tho.
Disappointed
The “gentleman” checking folks in was about as rude and ignorant as he could of been. The gal was pretty much clueless as well. Maybe a beverage cart on a hot summer weekend might be something this dump of a course should consider.
I’d suggest to pay a few more dollars and go elsewhere..
Great Value
This course provides great value. Course in good condition although greens could certainly be a bit faster. Very friendly personnel in pro shop that really made us feel welcome. Grumpy starter was only downside to a good experience.
Beautiful and Challenging
Great course for the price. Very long from the tips which made it challenge. The greens rolled great and consistent. My only complaints are my score and a few spots in the rough where the grass was patchy. Overall good condition and I would enjoy playing that course any day.
Was told on the phone , cart included. Checked in andshe said I booked a walking rate. I saw the walking on the screen and called the pro shop right away before booking. He said I would have a cart. We had to pay for a cart.
Beyond excellent value
i've been golfing in the area for years but for whatever reason, I had never checked this course out. Huge mistake on my part, course was very challenging, a lot of fun and a virtual steal at $35 to walk. I'll be back, often.
Will return
Challenging layout. The greens were slightly bumpy and slow. Good pace of play.
Beutiful day on the course
I was surprised how well the course was playing. Having just played a neighboring course Eagles pride is a steal of a deal. The fairways and greens are in great summer shape. The only thing missing is food on the course so bring your own.
