About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Golfer Reviews
Over 5 hours.
5 hours 20 minutes is way too long. I know it was a nice day, but this was ridiculous. First cart girl I saw, I asked her how she was doing. Proceeded to gripe about getting change as a tip!
City course
One of those easy to play park courses. Decent but not exciting.
Great Course
I have played here often, it's in great shape and has been well maintained. I would recommend because of course conditions, value, and the restaurant.
A nice public course
The course is close to city center and you don’t have to drive far to play at the course. It is a decent public course, which is reasonably maintained. The second nine is more interesting than the first nine. The condition of the green is very good. It is definite worth the money you pay.
A Great layout with room to spray it!
I love this centrally located track that features a nice park land style layout that rewards long hitters yet offers forgiveness as well (in case you don’t always find the fairway.)
Easy to walk with Some moderate elevation changes and a nice variety of holes. Perfect for out of town visits and the price is reasonable for the area.
Clover
Allenmore has a clover issue or something similar to it. Makes balls hard to find at times. Cart girl was griping about not getting enough tips. Found that rather disconcerting
Hidden Jewel
Great 18 hole golf course in Central Tacoma, WA. Its been around since the 30's - could not locate at first as your website has wrong address it should be 2013 S. Cedar St.
Great course and pace of play
I rarely play golf in the afternoon, the pace of play was great on the front nine and slowed the back just a smidge, 4 and half hour round
Best round this year!!
Course conditions and layout were the biggest factor for me having one of the better rounds this year! FIR + GIR = PAR (or Better)
Maintenance
The website did not mention anything about the course being under maintenance fairway was horrible. Maintenance vehicles was on few of the holes.
Torn up
Beside this being a boring course, they have TORN up the course to add irrigation I believe, they don’t have hole 5 anymore (par 4). So they added a 85 yard par 3 in between a couple holes so if you can find it and actually play 18 then it’s a par 70? Driving range is irons only. Greens were actually decent. Hopefully the renovations will help in the next couple years but they are still charging 50 bucks to play midweek.
Course conditions
There’s construction on the course and it’s really terrible conditions to play nowadays. I don’t think I’ll going back until they finish the work. In this condition still charging the same price is not right. Took us almost 5 hr. for round .😰
Really?
We had great weather and we played with a couple of guys that were a lot of fun to play with.
The course was atrocious! I understand that a new sprinkler system is being installed...let the patrons know prior to spending 44 per person...and that was a "hot deal"
Hello, u000007575715. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Allenmore Golf Course.
Expected much better
Took advantage of a "TEEoff.com" coupon special for 18 holes with a power cart, but the golf course was going through a drainage system renovation and poor fairway conditions. I'm surprised they haven't reduced their normal tee time green fees with the golf course in this bad of condition. I don't think I will be playing here again for quite awhile.
Hello u219043558, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your recent round. We are currently replacing our entire golf course irrigation system which necessitates turning off our irrigation pumps for multiple days during active construction and then overwatering when we are able to turn the irrigation back on.
Our teams are working diligently to keep the course up in shape as we work through this maintenance period. We anticipate the project will be done this winter and the course will be in excellent shape for next spring! Please feel free to reach out with any additional concerns and we hope to see you on the course again soon.
Under construction
Although 1st hole was closed, the overall course was well maintained for winter golf.
