About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Course is in bad condition
The course is in bad shape now they have airrated the greens plus a lot of construction still going on.

We are currently replacing our entire golf course irrigation system which necessitates turning off our irrigation pumps for multiple days during active construction and then overwatering when we are able to turn the irrigation back on.
Our teams are working diligently to keep the course in shape as we work through this maintenance period. We anticipate the project will be done this winter and the course will be in excellent shape for next spring! Omitting transparency to make money
Staff at checkin said temp greens for aeration on select holes....however the back 9 is under construction, vehicles driving everywhere, and certain holes closed completely. Play the front nine only...and don't pay over $20.

Not in great shape
Greens are spotty. Fairways mostly dry. Not as good as usual.

Greens
Greens were not in the best shape seems like parts were bare and some were moldy

They do an awesome job here. Northwest golf can be no fun during or after the rain, the course was in great shape.

Hi Munizza,
We are currently replacing our entire golf course irrigation system. We have been getting a handful of negative course condition reviews lately. Unfortunately, we must turn off our irrigation pumps for multiple days during construction and then overwater the course when we turn them back on. Also, we have multiple mainlines that our broken and sprinkler heads that don’t work. The superintendent has done a great job during this challenging time and the course really isn’t playing that bad.

Good course for price
Played 18 at 2:30p start time. 12th hole was closed due to irrigation work; temporary par-3 65 yard hole instead. Tee boxes were well worn, but decent. Fairways were pretty dry and given the slope on some, that creates a challenge with the roll- especially on drives. Greens were a little bit rough- some patches of bare dirt and moss, but mostly around the edges. Not great, but not a deal breaker. Layout was good and logical to follow. Signage was decent.
All staff seemed quite friendly. Decent pro-shop. I think the bar/restaurant upstairs doubles as an Elks Lodge? Downstairs bar/grill was closed. No drink cart service on the day I played. Parking was easy. Driving range was short, but decent for a warm-up.
Would play again if in the area.

Pretty tight course
Tight course and greens ran smoothly with no “hops” on the roll. Some holes had a lot of dead grass, but I’m guessing with the slope of some of the hills, the water can’t really stay. Played my best round out here and it was well needed.

Twilight Round
The layout is decent and the staff was friendly. Greens were in okay shape. Fairways were hard pan in most areas. Pace of play was horrendous. Would not recommend for twilight and conditions this time of year.

Green Not Good
I have been going to Allenmore for about 10 years. This is the worse I have ever seen the greens. dead bare spots , and many differing levels of moisture and green. looked like a severe skin disease. lol

Fun and surprise place.bumping the golf ball on fairway. Need watch out the other golfers ball from side.I love that green.

Another nice round at Allenmore
The staff is very friendly, I always enjoy playing golf here. I've met a lot of nice people since playing here. Course is still under construction which isn't a problem.
