About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Convenient to Tacoma
Perfect for bogie to double bogie golfers, well maintained and reasonably priced. The restaurant, which was nice when we visited last month after golf had since gone out of business, so we had to drive away after out round ro get a beer.
Great pace
Love the course and the people whom run it. Always friendly and work hard to make sure pace of play is good. Great time and the right price

Will play again, but need to bring my own clubs. The rentals are extremely poor, but for those of us on the road for most of the time, we cannot be picky!

labor Day family golf outing
Nice to enjoy family time together on this course. My wife and Daughter are beginners so we played two team best ball using my son and my drives. Then let them play from there in. This was a good choice to help the pace of play.. The girls got a few swings in the red tea box for fun and to see how they liked being on the course. Light breeze and hazy sun kept temps reasonable on what could have been a hot day. Beers and Dogs at the turn kept everyone happy. Good Day.

This course has gotten better and betterever sinceThe new club house was built andother small changes to make itA good challenge and friendly to all. One of the best in the south sound. The greens are well manicured and almost true on every hole. Great experience and I will return again and again
Fun course, good conditon
Course is in good shape. Played as a twosome, played through 3 4somes and a 3 some, their idea, which is a nice change. Greens were in good shape, in fact the whole course is. 5 or 6 times now this year I have played here.
Nice course for a great value
This is a fun course for the value. The greens were a bit difficult (a mix of different grasses) but overall, this course plays great for both beginners and advanced players. The clubhouse and restaurant are newly renovated and have great amenities for those not golfing.
Great time
Had a Blast. You can go find your ball and play it. No matter how far right you drive it.
Classic
Everything about the course was tip top, but the starter did a subpar job. No organization there. I was a single and was supposed to play with a threesome. He said they'd be late. Hello not my problem and then he doesn't say anything else. So I say OK they're going to be late but I'm not so put me with some one else. He was clueless. Bobby Cannavale wouldn't have left me hanging. He works there but was off that day!
Beautiful Course
First time playing here and I enjoyed it immensely. Very well laid out, nice long fairways, enormous, wavy greens. Plenty challenging, but not extremely difficult. Fine for competent players. 3 par 5's on the front and the back so fun for the long game. Traffic noise from I 5 were noticeable, but not disturbing. The views of Mt. Rainier on many of the holes were fantastic. I will definitely look forward to playing here again!
How the Pro-Shop Staff helps with the score.
Frank at the Pro-Shop really sets a happy mood for the games with his friendliness and professional service. Tips for the game and best cigars goes a long ways with having a great game. The carts are always ready, The tee shuffle are well done always willing to accommodate 'slackers' when our 4some running behind. For a beginner don't know how-to evaluate the course. The swing is challenging enough so having a great golf environment just makes for good times.

The greens were quick
I liked the greens. They were quick and challenging. Have to be aware of up and down slopes when putting.
